We had a 1pm reservation for our meal. They seated us right away; the ambiance was cozy, and the inside looked like an old fashioned train station. They played old french songs with a modern twist. Our waiter was friendly, approachable, and answered questions about the restaurant and the menu well. The meals were excellent, and we all enjoyed our... More

Although was there for a business dinner, wines were great and enjoyed my steak. the Coq au Vin chicken looked good along with the fish. Lots of wine selections. Deserts were great too.

Only had two glasses of wine (brilliant) and a one course meal but I have nothing bad to say - great service staff and good food and above all excellent wines

I made a reservation for 1:00pm, but arrived early at 12:30pm. I told the host, and he told me he was going to check and get us something soon as the first shift was wrapping up. He never came back to tell us anything, even though I did make eye contact with him. Then another host came to the front,... More

The event was a friends dinner following the last Giants game. Eight were in attendance, and we were well cared for at our table throughout the evening. The most attentive to our needs was the wine steward, who nailed every request with the perfect match to what we wanted. The wine list is extensive, but do not be afraid to... More

Menu is quite enticing as it is creative - yet all dishes sound appetizing not scary. Loved the food here and would definitely go back. Restaurant decor is elegant and modern- makes for a nice experience. Had a business lunch here - 2 people with no wine but desserts came to $100 including tip.

Picked this because of the recent Wine Spectator ratings, and the ownership. No disappointment in our choice. I did review the wine list ahead of time, choosing two French wines, but the sommelier provided a great choice for our dessert wine. Certain he would have dine as well for the main wines. The waiter was attentive without being overwhelming so... More

One of Michael Mina's well designed venues that compliments the FiDi neighborhood. Community members, and many others to include visitors in for business, enjoy the great service, seasonal dishes and inviting wine list. Neighbors enjoy this casual, cozy and extremely well managed and personal living room to the neighborhood. This is a great place to entertain without pretension found in some... More

When they opened, my wife was pointed toward RN74, a Michael Mina restaurant. She was impressed, so we marked it for the next trip to San Francisco. In between, we spent a week with Chefs Mina, and Jason Berthould, of RN74, and were also impressed. We did dine there, and several times. Chefs changed, but RN74 kept pleasing us. This... More

Went with a good group of friends for dinner - all keen on good wines. The sommelier was awesome and we matched their burgundies to their California wines. Cali won hands down, which surprised me a little as were younger Food is excellent- steak tartare in particular- we had it as starter and main!!!!! Allez

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
