Slanted door spring rolls with peanut sauce an excellent start. The shaking beef is a signature dish for a reason. Very good. Flavorful wines and dessert was a nice finish. As good as the food was, the service was superior.

This restaurant was recommended by a local and it was everything and more than he advised. Good menu selection and Vietnamese style was first class. Arrive early and enjoy a wine at the bar. This restaurant is seriously under-rated. Don't miss it.

We came here late on a Thursday evening for a drink and dessert. We had the churros with the spicey chocolate sauce and the Mango Lassi Tart. The churros literally melt in your mouth and dipping them in the chocolate sauce made them heavenly. The Mango Lassi Tart was like an explosion of fruitiness with a slight hint of tartness.... More

The food was delicious and the service excellent, even though they were really busy we weren't rushed out. I would recommend the tofu spring rolls, I'm not a fan of tofu normally but what ever they did to them made them yummy! Good wine choices that wasn't too expensive and I loved all the dog pictures on the wall. On... More

I'm notorious for being a bit of a picky eater with a gluten allergy, yet I always want to try new things. Slanted Door was perfect for me. The food was unique, fresh, flavourful and incredibly delicious. Perfect if you like to try new things. Love the location and the ambiance. It's always been busy when I have been there... More

Seven of us ate here for an early meal (5:45) on a Friday evening. Because there were 7 of us we were subject to a $53/per person Prix Fixe menu. They gave us the options of 3 appetizers, 3 entrees and one vegetable. But our choices were very limited unless we wanted to add $3 to $6 per person. The... More

We were able to get a reservation for a late lunch here on a recent visit. The food is outstanding. It is beautifully prepared and presented. The flavors are so fresh and complex. The wonton soup and grapefruit salad are exceptional. The servings sizes are generous. We were not at all rushed. We plan to return here on our next... More

Hard to get a reservation so plan ahead. The location is great - on the water with a view of the bay bridge. The food is good and the service fine - even though they forgot one of our orders. They had a minimum $100 spend per head on New Year's Even - even at lunchtime!

On the off-chance we managed to get a walk-in at The Slanted Door. The food was stunning (shaking beef and clay pot chicken) with really delicate flavours. Add to that a real buzzy atmosphere and a view to die for of the bay bridge at sunset and you have a great meal. Service was also really good, attentive but not... More

The pear salad I had was really tasty. The Cellophane Noodles were good but I wish they just had a little bit more crab. Very nice service :)
