I booked this place in advance of our visit to San Francisco. We had an excellent night watching and listening to some great performers lead by Alvon Johnson. Despite mixed reviews, we found the food to be excellent and good value for money. The setting is intimate and I can't imagine there's a bad seat in the house. Our waitress... More

Quite expensive place, especially if you consider the entrance fee for any live music show. Food is quite poor but expensive. Too noisy and dark place (cannot see what is written on the menus)

Really great evening, service fantastic , food very good and band J.C.Smith were entertaining and excellent. A treat on our trip to San Francisco and I would go again if we had a few more days. Had two teenagers in party who loved it

Biscuits and Blues is a great place to hear live independent blues acts while having a decent meal (or not, if you prefer to just listen). The menu veers toward Southern cuisine, but even a health conscious diner like me can find acceptable choices, such as the blackened catfish with succotash, and maybe a side of sauteed asparagus. Staff is... More

Went to this restaurant to see a Sunday 7:00 show. We arrived early (doors open at 5:30) because the restaurant directly above, Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot, fills up in about five minutes. We needn't have worried. The venue, which could seat 80 comfortably, had only about 30 in attendance for this show. Food arrived quickly. Corn and shrimp fritters... More

We were walking back from Union Square and passed by this club. They have live music most nights. That night we walked to see the 7:00 show. $15.00 cover charge. It was amazing! The venue is small and intimate. The service was great and the food was yummy. Definitely would return.

Okay, the food isn't really great, but had much worse, nice atmosphere, looks tidy, a bit to straining-to-sell waiters, but what would you do in you were the owner of this joint. A beter part was the band of Santana singer Tony Lindsay, great musicians to, liked the skills of his guitarist very much.

During a few nights in s.f. recently, we decided to go to watch some blues at Biscuits and Blues because of their catchy name. The venue was downstairs which was nice. The drinks were very good as well as the food. I had the fried chicken and my son had the catfish. Had to get some biscuits which did not... More

Clearly this is a place to come for the music. The menu is nothing to speak home about, and the signature biscuits were nothing memorable. The music was on the loud side, especially when the percussionist got going. We were here when Big Daddy Cade was playing a tribute to B.B.King. I liked the band more than Cade himself, but... More
