This is a spin off of the Bobo Steak House which has been a SF landmark for decades. The main restaurant is only two doors away. The decor mimic's that of the steak house -- a Venetian style with lots of color and masks. My...wife and I had various incarnations of their burger. As I expected, the burger meat was top notch. We had the same reaction as that of another reviewer -- the bun I had and the thick bread slices my wife had weren't quite able to "handle" the burger and fixings in between. Apart from that, we found both burgers to be delicious. We got an order of fries which were crispy and first-rate. The bar holds perhaps 30 customers with table and "bar" seating. BTW, there is a full bar with cocktails and beers. We also like the nearby Super Duper burger a few blocks away (and reviewed here on TA), but we will come back to Bobo's for sure.More

Bobo's Burger Bar opens at 5pm each day on Lombard Street, and was, hands down, the best meal I had on my trip to San Francisco. The burgers are large and taste amazing, and the ambiance is just perfect. The interior is somewhat dark and...filled with older clown artwork and masks, giving it a great vibe.More

We stopped in after our arrival and grabbed a quick sandwich and fries. The food was really good and we loved the jester themed decor.

We've visited this place with friends while in SF on a trip. When we've arrived the menu was thrown front of us by a "gentleman" who did not even say hi and looked very grumpy and unfriendly. Then a lady came to take our drink...orders. It's been five of us but she could not remember what we've ordered. The food wasn't too bad, but it doesn't taste as nice if you don't feel very welcomed. We all felt very uncomfortable and left this place disappointed.More

The service was excellent, but the burger seems to have been made by someone who never actually tried to eat it. Instead of a bun, they opted for a bread that was far too crusty around the edges, but fell apart in the middle. It...might have tasted okay, if I could get the condiments and the burger into the same bite, but it fell apart in a disgusting mess. And the price was ridiculous. They obviously benefit from there not being many other choices in the neighborhood.More

We had high expectations from reading these reviews but left feeling quite disappointed. I ordered a BBQ and bacon burger which was initially served as a cheese burger with no BBQ sauce or bacon. After being returned to the kitchen it came back with BBQ...sauce and one small piece of bacon which I think was quickly stolen off another burger served to the customers sat next to us. The burgers also come with no fries or chips (as some of the other reviews on here mention). If you want fries, you’re turning your $16+ burger into a €22+ burger. When mentioning this to our waiter after collecting our plates he remained quiet and just asked if we would like desserts. That said, the patty was nice but we still left feeling hungry and ripped offMore

Visited Bobo's twice while in San Fransisco. Tried the traditional burger and the BBQ Burger. Both met expectations. Other in party had the Taco which also was good, they said. Service was good. Reasonable prices. Rather small place. Didn't try Bobo's Steak which is next...door.More

This little burger restaurant is just a rare find. The decor is in rich red colours with masks on walls & top of bar. We ate here a lot as it was close to our accommodation. There are various burger types, & what we had...was delicious!!!! The potato soup was also delicious. Very relaxed atmosphere with attentive staff. Great value for money!!!!! Our young waitress was very helpful & cheerful. Would highly recommend!!!!!!More

We took the Bobo burger and the BBQ burger along with some crispy fries. Quality of the food was really nice! No negative points at this place! It was close to our hotel and if you like burgers you should really eat here!

Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful
backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to
the Marina. Originally the location for the
Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose
remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much
of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a
world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a
jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city.
