Be aware. Tajines are prepared in advance and microwaved before they are served to you. With a Chicken Tagine at almost 30 usd (single portion) one can expect a fresher preparation.
Food tastes ok. Staff is very welcoming and friendly.More

Mr Jonathan . We take criticism very well . You did not like the taste we can take that and we will work on improving. but what we don’t accept Is when you said that our food is not fresh . Even in a Michelin...More
The owner and his cousin are the chefs and servers! Quaint, attentive, personalized service. Great recommendations and personal touch. Whether you like Mediterranean / Tunisian food or not - this place is a CANT MISS!
Great service. Chef/owner is happy to share his knowledge/experience. Great tasty dishes, wine menu extensive and great knowledge of chef/waiter for wine pairing. The only downfall is that it’s pricy vs other similar quality San Fran restaurants.
Delicious menu! The deviled eggs are amazing (and a bit spicy) and their chicken is one of the best I have ever eaten! Amazing technique. The owner was happy to talk me through the recipe and even showed me how he did it.
I had dinner here while I was at Dreamforce this year. The food was fantastic - had the seafood stew along with beef short rib, both excellent. The restaurant was small, though the hospitality and food were outstanding. I spent time speaking with the owner...(sorry, I forgot his name), great chef/owner who obviously takes great pleasure of his establishment and his food quality. I will be back!More
Located in the hubbub area of Union Square, this restaurant is quite tiny with few tables. Reservations are most likely recommended. Since we ate dinner early we squeezed in. Limited choice menu with delicious options. We loved the flavor of lamb shank and short rib...options. These entrees were $30 and $27. There was a vegetarian option on menu. Friendly service. No bread offered or available.More
The cumin-crusted fish impressed my wife so much, she asked for the recipe. And the owner was all too happy to reveal the ingredients and how the meal was prepared. We went for dinner and although the restaurant is small in size, it's large in...friendly service and delicious food.More
We tried La Marsa yesterday and were pleasantly surprised by the fine Tunisian cuisine. The owner is an excellent host and tries his best to satisfy his guests.
Don’t hesitate to taste the Tunisian deviled eggs which is a creation of the chef.
Thank you...for these nice momentsMore
My partner and I randomly found this restaurant on Google Maps and from the moment we stepped inside we suspected that the great reviews were accurate. We were greeted by the charming owner and shown to a table near the front window. The menu is...fairly limited (understandably so - the kitchen is tiny) but everything we tried was delicious. The lamb shank in particular was something truly special - probably the best I've ever had!
A nice touch was that the waiter/owner (totally unprompted) gave me two different red wines to taste, so I could choose the one that better suited the lamb shank. Very classy move, and it led me to try (and really enjoy) a wine I wouldn't have otherwise ordered. Adding to that, the decoration and ambience is really lovely - very cosy and atmospheric. We will definitely be coming back here next time we're in SF!More
