My wife and I had the appetizer tasting platter (ceviche, nigiri, etc). It was delicious and fresh! Highly recommend to diners who like sushi or seafood!

We had a very nice experience at La Mar. The service was extremely friendly and professional. We were in doubt as to the choice of a bottle of white wine. Our waiter provided advice and offered us to taste one of the wines that they also serve by the glass. He attempted to have the sommelier come to our table.... More

Celebrating a birthday so wanted something new and different. This Peruvian restaurant fit the bill. A little high end on price. Clean, neat, professional service, very helpful in explaining menu items.

This may not be for everyone. I ordered some type of fish appetizer that tasted a little strange, I asked the waiter he said it was fresh. Apparently not, I became violently sick for the next 2 days, called the restaurant, they said of course, it wasn't them. and were very sorry. Nice place, expensive. Beware of old seafood.

Lomo saltado was amazing. It was nearly perfect in every way. Chicken empanada was about the best I've had. But... Ceviche was boring. Ordered the mixto (three ceviches). All three were okay, but none of them were above average. I've had much better ceviche at 1/3 the price and with twice the serving size. For desert I had a stack... More

Sister restaurant of the famous Lima eatery - however unlike in Peru, La Mar Cebicheria San Francisco also opens for dinner. Apart from ceviche and other seafood, the restaurant has a great offer of meat and vegetarian dishes. Cocktails are lovely too! The location of the restaurant is excellent and the decor gives it a great vibe. Book in advance... More

This restaurant is in a great location on the piers, with a fantastic view! We were here for a cocktail hour and the setup was pretty nice. Drinks were tasty and the food (appetizer style) was one of my favorites. If you come here you have to try the ceviche!

Visited a few years ago. This was our first encounter with an A&G restaurant. We have now eaten at most of his Peruvian restaurants, in Lima, in addition to his Santiago and Chicago outpost. The food was well prepared and presented. Fresh seafood with a view. Great drinks. Big portions. Ideal restaurant for a group outing, to share the many... More

Food was ok and I assumed it was ok only because it was very busy at that time. Pisco Sour was very good!! Seco de Lamb was ok, Tiradito de Seabass was nice, Anticuchos were delicious. Staff was helpful but too busy. View was beautiful

I came here with some friends this month. Have been in every restaurant from Gastón (chef and owner) in Peru and USA. This restaurant represents well our food in Peru, we might though be used to have ceviches and tiraditos served with 5 times the amount of fish, but I got used to that in the US versions (La Mar... Inspired on the thousands of cebicherias found throughout Peru, La Mar Cebicheri-a Peruana, was created as an attempt to globalize and enshrine one of the best guarded treasures of Peruvian cuisine: cebiche, Peruvian seafood and the scenery created to enjoy them, the Peruvian style cebicheria.
