As you are waiting for a table at the wonderful Seven Hills across the street. Not too varied a wine list, but well chosen.

We stopped in for a drink before dinner and enjoyed the wine and attentive service so much that we repeated our visit the next evening. On the second visit we ordered a cheese plate, which was surprisingly generous. It included 4 cheese selections, a few roast nuts, some dried and fresh fruits, and a generous portion of crostini. The wine... More

We'd been out most of the day, walking a lot, and stumbled across this little place. We have an 11 year old and were concerned he wouldn't be allowed in, but that wasn't a problem. The wine list is extensive and the person behind the bar was helpful. Our son had a selection of soft drinks and we had the... More

We dropped in here for a few glasses of wine in the early evening and it had good service, a fine selection of wines and a relaxed vibe. The food that others were eating looked tasty but we did not try it.

Every time we're in the area, we make a point to have a meal here. Friendly service, nice wine list, and a small but nicely presented menu

Service was really slow initially which was annoying considering we had just walked up Hyde Street and needed a cold beverage ASAP. Nice wine and meat / cheese bar

My partner and I enjoyed a glass of wine and light meal before flying home. The atmosphere was light, relaxing and the cafe was full of women enjoying each other's company. There is no wifi, no TV and no coffee. This makes for a different kind of experience and one which I enjoyed greatly!

This wine bar is a must! We were in San Francisco for 4 days and wanted to get a bit out of town to try some of the bars and restaurants. The cable car drops you right out the front! Cafe Meuse is fabulous. There were 4 of us and christine and Steve took spectacular care of us. We had... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
