We enjoyed the food at Mission Beach Cafe when we visited last week, but wished the service matched the excellent food. This place is very small, and rather than ask us to wait a few more minutes in the glorious sunshine, our party of four was wedged into a corner table that was better suited for a party of two.... We had lunch there and found that you have to go early to get a seat. This place has people lining up to get in. We had hamburgers that were delicious and were taken by surprise when the waiter asked how we would like the meat cooked. What a treat to have medium rare as many places refuse to do... More

And for good reason! We got there first thing and there was a line running up the street. They have amazing breakfast, brew local coffee, and have a great waitstaff. A pure SF staple. Make time to go here!

After researching some of the best brunches in SF for our trip, I made a reservation here. We had the huge mimosas, huevos rancheros, eggs benny and the french toast. The heuevos and eggs benny were great, and the french toast was something I'd trade my first born for. It was hands down the best french toast, maybe even breakfast,... More

Everything we had was very delicious. Flank steak fajitas were very tender and juicy. Great mimosas, French toast and pancakes! Great service. Nice cozy place. Be prepared to wait about 45min to an hour as this is a hot spot!

Great food. Eggs Benedict with mushrooms was great. "Huge" mimosa was even better, only takes one to do the job.

We recently had dinner here. I found the food to be good. The service was not as good as expected, however. They need to improve in this area. Small, local place with good, local produce.

It seems like this place is a bit of a lovely neighborhood secret.. It wasn't overrun with people when I went (which, granted, was a week day, but that doesn't keep Tartine or Dolores Park Café from having lines out the door), so I was a bit hesitant. Then I was served the fluffiest, yummiest French toast I have had... More

We looked for a nice place to eat breakfast and came across this place. We had eggs and french toast and both were very good! The place itself and the atmosphere is nice and laid-back. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the espresso which was too sour for our taste.

Staying in Mission District

Neighborhood Profile
Mission District
From burritos to bicyclists, the Mission is the foundation for all things hip in the city. Cultural attractions, an independent arts community, sumptuous street murals and a high density of bars and cafes make this neighborhood a magnet for young people. While terrific inexpensive food is abundant, its top-of-the-line restaurants now compete with the city’s best for fashionable diners. Indulge as the locals do by heading to Mission Dolores Park, buy some ice cream, and savor one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the country.
