We walked from Jones/O'Farrell to Fishermans Wharf stopping here for breakfast. Excellent menu of American dishes with some having Mexican twist. Accommodated and served well.

Great selection of breakfasts. We ate there several times whilst staying at San Remo hotel and Pat's Bar was the best experince we had in our entire stay in San Francisco. Both the food quality and the service were excellent.

Good place for Breakfast. They got most of the traditional Menus. Friendly staff. Everything was tasty and fresh. Early riser pays off as it gets full after 8:30.

Pat's was right around the corner from our hotel so we went here for breakfast. It's a popular place and we had to que for 10min before we could get a table, but it is well worth waiting for. Service was a bit slow but the food is tasty, lots of it and the coffee with cream is good. Going... More

Called here early one morning for breakfast. Was already busy! Reasonably priced and tasty food. Corn beef hash and Mexican omelettes are recommends; orange juice good too.

Called in for a coffee, ordered two cappuccinos. When we decided to enquire if they had maybe a muffin to go with them, that's when the wheels fell off...the waiter said he would go out the back to see if they had any muffins...we never saw him again, the cappuccinos didn't arrive and we had to flag down another waiter... Super convenient as we were staying at the San Remo Hotel and we came here twice for breakfast on our short trip. Really nice chilled vibe with friendly staff. Food is tasty, coffee is pretty decent so a good place to start the day!

Nice little cafe off the beaten path. Clean, about ten tables. Coffee is a little strong ( Dunkin Donuts fan). Food was good, a lot to choose from on the menu.

Staying in North Beach / Telegraph Hill

Neighborhood Profile
North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian ristorante come together to create the charming neighborhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always suitable for younger visitors, few neighborhoods in the city exude as much European charm and style. Peruse a bookstore for the literature of Kerouac, Ferlinghetti and Ginsberg, grab some gelato and head to Washington Square for a perfect afternoon of people watching. Just east of North Beach, the hills and staircases of Telegraph Hill are a unique delight. At its peak, the art deco Coit Tower provides sweeping panoramic views of the bay and city. The beautifully landscaped Filbert Street Steps, a street too steep for a roadway, rewards those willing to hike uphill. Keep your ears open and you might even hear the squawk of the wild parrots who call this neighborhood home.
