My daughter rented the back room of this place for her birthday, it was so fun, We all dress in our flapper dresses and enjoyed drinks and appetizers. It does not look like much on the outside but when you go in it's like stepping back in time. Oh don't forget to get your password to get in.

I'll be honest... This came near the end of a very long week in San Fran. A week full of very late nights and lots of schmoozing with potential customers. So, I wasn't in the right mindset for visiting the Wilson & Wilson Detective Agency at Bourbon & Branch. Nevertheless, I had a fantastic time! The mixologist was superb. He... More

We visited Wilson and Wilson within Bourbon and Bach. The clandestine way you enter the premises adds to the whole experience. My husband isn't that keen on cocktails but after his visit here he's a convert. We ordered from the three course menu and we're sat at the bar which meant that we could speak to our bartender about the... More

Go prepared to read the cocktail list for 20 minutes to pick something out! The waitress was good in explaining the menu. Wished they offered small plates. The atmosphere was dark and very vintage speakeasy. Cocktails a very reasonable $12-15each. Would definitely return and it was easy to find, but the doorbell and password added to the secrecy!

Fantastic experience! We arrived at an unmarked door at 11pm for our reservation. Expect to use a password to enter. It's quaint and quiet with lots of secret rooms and passages. We felt as if for a moment we were back in the 1920's. They have a very extensive drink menu. Don't plan on ordering a Cosmo or rum and... More

I visited San Francisco recently and researched some bars in the city to check out while I was there. I've always enjoyed the idea of prohibition era and especially the speakeasies of the time. When I learned about bourbon and branch I thought this could be a unique experience to relive the days of old of backstreet drinking dens and... More

Worth the expense of the drinks - they're perfect. They're endless. Ask for the library / sneaky exit to experience the amusement of their set up - the bookcases all send you to different exits, all unmarked from the outside. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly - bartender and servers. The hostess had the perfect stoicism required for the charade... More

I've been to quite a few speakeasies in various cities and this is the first that actually felt like one. I like that you get an email with a password to get in, and that it isn't labelled outside, nor is there a bouncer waiting by the door. The atmosphere inside is cool, and a nice place to grab some... Bourbon & Branch is a well known but exclusive speakeasy bar in San Francisco. It often takes weeks to get a reservation but it is well worth it. The bartenders and servers are very knowledgeable about the drinks and the menu has a wide selection.

I found this place online while planning my husband's birthday trip. He loves different cocktails and a speakeasy sounded like such a cool and unique date while there. I'm so glad we did it! You have to make reservations, but they email you a password to get in. They have rules online, but they weren't hounding people. It's dark inside,... More
