Fog Harbor has always been one of my favorite places to grab a bite to eat and enjoy the view. The food and service are always amazing. Try to make a reservation if you can since there’s always a wait list if you don’t. We...booked our reservation online and pretty much walked right in while other had to wait up to an hour. The food was so good and I love watching the ships in the bay and the view of Alcatraz. I highly recommend this place if you’re visiting pier 39 and San Francisco.More

My son and I visited this restaurant for a quick chowder sourdough bowl. We weren't disappointed. The chowder was excellent and the sourdough was great. The "bread lid" for the bowl was a nice touch.More

We were surprised at how good this restaurant was because of it being on Pier 39 which is full of tourist traps. We decided on it after reading other reviews and were ending a sail at 3pm so it was right there. Reservations are a...must here - it was packed nonstop. Here's the good and the bad of our visit: Good - Honored our reservation time Honored our request to sit by a window on the perimeter rather than in with the crowd - Incredible views Comfortable and casual ambiance Noise level for being so crowded was fine - we could converse easily. FOOD! Fried Calamari - outstanding, perfect fry Hot sourdough bread to die for Sourdough with blue cheese and garlic was delicious Petrale Sole with basil butter and new potatoes - generous portions and deliciously fresh Whole garlic roasted crab - amazing Chowder - very good Crab topped ravioli - incredible Penne with seafood - same Creme Brulee - as expected Wonderful cocktails - the blood orange margarita was a surprise and wonderful The Not so Good - Our server stopped by and then we didn't hear from her again so after 30 minutes asked someone else if they could take our order.
