This restaurant was withing walking distance of our hotel, and our tour bus driver recommended it. The decor is really lovely and elegant, and the service was great. We enjoyed the egg rolls, and the house fried rice was amazing... could have made a meal of just that! Would definately become a favorite if we lived in the area!

Can eat in or take out. They have a nice lunch menu with specials for under $10. At night they have a function room.

needed a bite late night with the family. the pu pu platter was all the highest quality ingredients.nicely prepared and presented. wanted to get back for a better sample of the menu but didn't have a chance. regardless my intuition tells me this place is going to be a typically very good Boston style Chinese place

Paid over $90.00 for some of the worst tasting food from a Chinese Restaurant...Since they are the only game in town-and know it-they overcharged for unauthentic bland food.. Shrimp and lobster dish came with dried shrimp and missing lobster for a high price...Moo Shi pork arrived with heavy Mexican tortillas...Fried rice was soaked in oil...Spear Ribs were boiled and brittle... On 05/18/2016 I ordered a Lobster at that restaurant along with pork fries rice, white rice chicken finger and boneless spareribs, and inside the lobster's head was stuff with human hairs in it. Sadly I already ate some of it but when I finally got to the head of the lobster that was when I noticed that it was all... More

Don't bother. Worst Chinese food I've had in a long time! Hit and sour soup awful. Moo Shi served with tortillas, not traditional Mo Shi pancakes. No spice in Kung Pao chicken. Only positive was service - good watering hole.

I travel to Boston several times a year and always find time to visit Cathay's. Whether dine in or take out I aways enjoy my experience. The service is quick, food always tasty and the serving portions are always plentiful. Menu selection is standard but offers a pleasent dishes. Whether lunch or dinner I am always full and satisfied when... More

Say what you want as I have heard some call it "Cathay Pathetic", but this place actually has really good food and the drinks are well prepared and delicious. Never had a bad meal.
