Love this restaurant. Problem is the portions are so large I never have room to try their fabulous looking desserts!! They used to serve Pepsi but switched to Coke so another ++ in my book. I had gnocchi with meat sauce, my husband had spaghetti...with meat balls, sister had baked ziti. We all loved it.More
What a great restaurant. We got the mozzarella sticks, split a salad and had two pizzas - one was a meat lovers and the other cheese. Everything we had we loved. We know they use high quality ingredients. Laurie, our waitress, was very personable, efficient...and had a good sense of humor. We look forward to go back there again.More
Every time I come here. I love the food. Portions are big, the bread is fresh and the service is great. The Fusilli pasta with sauce and meatballs was so good. The baked Ziti was done to perfection. The garlic bread was awesome.
Ive been eating here for a while now. Love their meatballs & sausage. Wish they'd be consistent tho because sometimes it's not as good as it can be. Maybe just off nights. My din loves them & my hubby loves the baffled ziti casserole. I...do recommend but be careful for off days. They are disappointing. Oh chicken soup is yum & their desserts are fab.More
Great food and great service! The eggplant parm was very good. Could of fed two people. The Chicken Marsala was superb! The rolls were fresh and warm. Service was excellent! The food didn't take long at all. The desserts looked really really good but I...was so full from the Eggplant. They have take out and it was really busy. A great little restaurant with awesome food. Bring your appetite.More
There is nothing out of the ordinary or sticks out to me to put this restaraunt on one of my go to places. It is just ordinary food but far from being exceptional. If you enjoy calzones that is one item I can truly recommend....The location is convenient.More
I took my son and his girlfriend to Gennaro's for a casual meal. I have been there many, many times before but not since last June. I have no idea what has happened but the quality has gone down and I was SO disappointed! The...rolls were like ice and plain, old out-of-a-bag. They used to have warm bread! I ordered my favorite, Chicken Gennaro, and it was swimming in oil! I could only eat a little of it due to the excessive oil! So sad. My son and his girlfriend ordered Chicken Parmigiana. The chicken was overcooked and the breading was an unappetizing dark brown. Clearly it had been cooked some many hours before and just microwaved; not freshly prepared. What has happened to Gennaro's? I LOVED this place for 18 years and now, it is mediocre at best. Very sad to see a Quincy gem go downhill. I hope it improves soon or it will go the way of so many other restaurants in Quincy who raise prices and cut back on quality.More
Really love the friendly staff, best chef Gerry, and desserts! We have enough to take away for the next day's eating. They have a really good variety, comfortable atmosphere, and awesome sauce! They were featured on TV and also have awesome pizza. Gerry changes up...the specials which are unique and delicious!More

I can’t say enough about Gennaro’s! We’ve been coming here for a few years. Having grown up with families that owned many of the most famous restaurants in the north end, I’m no stranger to food Italian food. I was delighted to find really delicious,...reasonable, Italian food in Quincy. I’m really partial to their chicken parm or tortellini carbonara, but I’ve had all sorts of things I’ve enjoyed on their menu. Most importantly, the staff is incredible. They are really efficient, friendly, and make you feel like your family as a repeat customer. Thanks for being our favorite spot in this city, Gennaros!More
Just had lunch at Gennaro's for the first time. AMAZING food, great service. The mac and cheese was cooked to perfection! A must try for anyone that loves real "home cooked" food.
I got the spaghetti as meatballs, I am a big guy and I like to eat. The portions as so big I could not finish I was stuffed. The server was friendly and the price was better than I expected .
I truly enjoy this Eatery, every time I travel to Quincy I make it a point to have a meal here. The staff is friendly and efficient. It is a small place but the food is well made. The portions are very large, You will...be taking home leftovers. If you are in the area and looking for a well made meal with kind caring service, this is a must go. You will not be disappointed.More
Plan to take home your leftovers as the portions are large. Reasonable prices and a tasty menu. Take out is the same. Their Northender is for sharing.
