Had dinner here our first night in town, near the end of the season. Enjoyed sitting outside on the porch, but the propane heater behind us was too hot and too close for comfort. Would love to sit out in the garden on a beautiful day. Maybe next time!

I've been here before. Sat outside on lovely patio for lunch. This time inside on a chilly, rainy night upstairs at the cozy bar. Great cocktails, hearty delicious dinner and wonderful staff.

We started with a bottle of the plungerhead old vine Zinfandel paired with the local crab cakes and their version of a caprese salad made with heirloom tomatoes, balsamic reduction and chèvre goat cheese. The seafood risotto was recommended by our server Sarah and it was amazing! The roasted cauliflower soup and duo of beer salad also packed a great... More

A recent fall evening brought us to dine outside at McKay’s.  The musician was playing soothing finger guitar and the slight breeze in the air was warmed by the propane heaters.  Matt M, our waiter, was friendly and got our initial drinks quickly. My husband ordered the fresh local oysters, which he said were super fresh and tasty.  He also... More

We ate upstairs; had a nice atmosphere though a little dark and hard to read the menu. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was pretty good considering how busy they were. I had the Blueshinetini and Seafood Risotto. Both were quite good as was the Baked Brie appetizer; I like the way it was served. The beet salad wasn't... More

This is more of a high end type restaurant. It's located in an old 1800's house with a large courtyard out front. Had the weather been better, it would have been a great experience to eat outside. August was our waiter and very informative and had a fun personality. We had a group of four that all ordered different dishes... More

Restaurant was very busy, but we were seated right away. We were given five menus. Waiter came over asking what we wanted, we said we needed more time, he seemed frustrated. We ordered wine and a beer, it took 15 minutes to get the beer. The salad and appetizer were good. I had lamb which was good, my wife's fish... More

We stayed at the Bar Harbor Grand which was next door to McKay's. it really looked like a neat place and passed it many time on our walk to town. They had a blackboard out front of their menu and after seeing roasted bone marrow we were turned off. Never have it a chance.

Go for happy hour and then stay for dinner. Nice bar with good offerings. It was comfortable. The wait staff came to get us when our table was ready. Happy hour wraps up at 6:00 on the dot. This is a Pub that serves almost all seafood. I don't eat seafood but my pork chop was very nicely done .
