We were looking for a bar to catch the Cubs NLCS game while we were in town last weekend and an online review lead us here. It seems to be where local folks hang out. The bartender was great, the game (and lots of other games) were on, and they had a good selection of local beers. We didn't have... More

Excellent haddock fish fry to go with a Packers game. Met other Green Bay fans as well there. Fun place to watch a game and eat and drink.

This is a great bar to stop in for a few beverages. Their food is good too. I would highly recommend this place for the bar, food and the overall atmosphere!

We stopped in to have a couple of drinks and watch the Steeler's/Eagles game. Unfortunately, the Steelers go thumped. The service was good and the beer cold. Would definitley return.

Had beer, lobster roll and some chowdah. Friend had mac and cheese and hot dag and she was moaning about how good it was. All were excellent. Our server was a nice guy and good waiter. Price is right, happy place, lots of good music in the background. Not the Ritz, just a great place to eat!

Nothing fancy, just good food! I really enjoyed the steak and cheese, and their macaroni and cheese is very good. Haven't tried it, but I've been told their lobster roll is best in town!

Just look at the picture and words won't be needed. This was by far the most generous lobster roll with little to no mayo to muck it up. Price was very reasonable (I think about 16.00) with some french fries. Service was excellent, a family run affair..... Nice menu options if lobster not to your liking.

A little off the main road downtown, but an awesome place to have a drink. We didn't eat so not sure about the food. Outdoor darts and ring game for those wanting a little friendly competition. Good beer selection and indoor/outdoor bars, both with TV's. Unpretentious and very laid back.

Visited the tavern to watch a college ballgame. Numerous TV's, large seating area available, and very good service. We did not have a meal here but the menu looked good with a variety of items available. A great place for drinks and sports watching

We got fried cheese curds that were very good and pretzel with mustard (you can't mess a pretzel up though). Beer was cold and fair priced for that area. Waiter was quick and friendly! A good bar to visit It was good bar food but we only had appetizers so our opinion is limited.

Thank Dana M

The Dog and Pony Tavern is a unique dining and drinking spot that is hidden in a cluster of trees off the beaten path in Bar Harbor. Those who are adventurous enough to find it will enjoy cheap but delicious cocktails and meals in the "treehouse" beer garden, outdoor gazebo bar, or may find themselves at the indoor dining area watching the day's sports game. D 'n P (as the locals call it, short for Dog and Pony) opens at 11:00 am for lunch and drinks and stays open until 1 am! Food is served until 12:00am, but after the tavern closes at 1 am in the summer, a take out window opens, and food is available from 1am 'till approximately 2am. It's a great peaceful place to eat and drink during the day and a happening night spot after the sun sets. In 2010, Dog and Pony was voted #1 Patio Dining and #1 Night Spot! Locally owned and operated, the DnP offers a unique Bar Harbor experience you can't find anywhere else!
