My husband & I had lunch at the Thirsty Whale in Bar Harbor this past week. Food was great! We had a few drinks and bowls of clam chowder. The best part of this restaurant was the Staff. The hostess seated us immediately, waitress was engaging and seemed extremely interested how we felt about our lunch. The bartender made outstanding... More

The food was good and the service was great! Nice cozy little tavern off the main drag with good food and very friendly service. The waitress we had was awesome. Nice selection of local brews and decent menu. Prices were about average to the area.

Had dinner at the Thirsty Whale during our trip to Bart Harbor. Chose this place because there was a way to order a burger without French fries . The burgers were juicy and the whale salad was great. Prices are the best in town for the food you get.

Local restaurant/bar that's open year round. Dinner on a Thursday was crowded, had about a half hour wait for a table but the homemade hummus appetizer made the wait worth it. Delicious! My fish wrap was good too.

My daughter and I went here on three occasions while staying in Bar Harbor. Great food, drinks, etc. Very nice local place - clean, good service, good food. Best priced food for the area!

The menu was varied, but the food was generic. My wife had the fish and chips and the fish looked like frozen fish sticks. I had the clam chowder, and although it wasn't canned, it hadn't been made there. Suspect I could have gotten the same or better at Panera Bread, and I am not putting Panera Bread down. Food... We spent all week trying every chow-dah hoping to fine the best and we found it on our last night in town. I was sad when I ate my cup and immediately wished I had ordered a bowl. Their haddock was pretty great too!

Great place to enjoy seafood and drinks with football on the big screen! The lobster bisque & lobster roll were great!
