The staff is wonderful and the restaurant is clean, service is quick and efficient, but the food is pretty much on par with what you would get at a typical diner in Long Island or NJ...at a 50% mark up in price.
Being their later in October this seemed to be one of the few breakfast places open, and I did not mind! Ended up going every morning. The staff was very personable as they took the time to get to know me. Their blueberry pancakes were...absolutely fantastic! Maybe the best pancakes I’ve had. When in town highly recommend this place!More
We have eaten there frequently over the years and decided it is nothing special. The breakfast is just that, a basic breakfast. The staff is friendly and efficient. The place is clean and sanitized after each customer.
Lightning fast service! One day there was a line out the door but the next day we came early and got right in. Blueberry pancakes with real blueberry syrup were so delicious. Highly recommended. The side of bacon and hash browns were average.
We tried to find a restaurant for brunch near Acadia National park that was not closed for the season or closed until dinner. After Columbus Day, most of the popular restaurants and shacks close for the winter. Finally a restaurant that was open. We’re so...glad we ate here. The line was long but the wait wasn’t too bad.
The people from the greeting to the servers were so friendly. It was such a drastic change from the people of VT. Our waitress took great care of us. The gentleman who took our drink order got my earl grey tea with a side of almond milk and placed a small bowl in top of the cup to keep it warm and for the tea bag. We ordered corn beef hash plate, blueberry pancakes with blueberry syrup, Maine delight omelette, blueberry pie, blueberry muffin and two boxes of the blueberry mix. We ate every piece of food on our plates.
The Maine omelette- you’re in Maine try what locals like to put together in an omelette. Rich and filling.
Corn beef hash- there are a lot of Irish around New England. I think the corn beef hash came from a can but I don’t really care because I ate it as a child and craved it.
Blueberry pancakes - just the way I like pancakes. Not cake like. Very light but has a bite (texture) to them. Fresh berries.
Blueberry syrup tasted like bourbon. I’d recommend going with the Maine maple syrup for a classic taste.
Blueberry pie- the crust was flaky and homemade. The filling wasn’t too sweet. Fresh berries. Yum!
Blueberry muffin was better than the pancakes and I loved the pancakes.
I would come here again. Definitely a must try for the food and service.More
We had the blueberry pancakes with their very own blueberry sauce. The pancakes were full of blueberries and delicious. Their special blueberry sauce was the best. It was loaded with whole blueberries and tasted just perfect. A must to try if in the area. We...purchased several bottles of the sauce to bring home. The service was fantastic and worth the wait. Highly recommended!More
