We happened in our first night after setting up camp and sat at the bar for a couple of salads and a shared seafood mixed grill. Everything was perfectly prepared and just what we needed. Nice wine and beer selection.

We were early for our reservation at Havana so we sat at their separate outdoor space for a snack and a cocktail while we waited. The Brazilian coffee cocktail and the papas bravas were excellent as was the service. We also enjoyed our meal inside, we had the scallop appetizer (sooooo good), black bean soup, and paella. All of it... More

We made reservations months in advance and we're looking forward to visiting. Dined on a Monday night an they were pretty busy. It took a very long time to get our cocktails. The bread plate was excellent as was the crab cake appetizer. Service for the most part was not good at all, long waits in between and glasses of... More

For a restaurant to be called "Havana," we found the food disappointing. We started with a so-so, puny mojito. I ordered the paella; my wife the lamb shank. Having grown up in Miami, the paella was underwhelming, really more like a Louisiana jambalya. No moist, yellow saffron rice or chicken. In fact, the rice was crunchy, overcooked, and bland. Where... The summer rush has died down and we tried Havana last night for the first time. The inside is a bit of a labyrinth, but cozy. The wine list is extensive. The menu is smaller than I expected but that may be the price you pay for such complicated deep flavors. The corn bread to start with 3 different dipping... More

This is my favorite restaurant, anywhere; sadly, I only get to visit every couple years due to distance, but it never disappoints, and this time was no exception. Virtually everything they do is perfect. Their starter bread basket includes regular bread and a sweeter bread, along with cinnamon butter. One has to be careful not to fill up right then,... More

If you want blueberry pie and lobster - go to one of the many places that does traditional Maine food so well. If you are looking for a truly memorable dinner then Havana is an excellent choice. My husband and I are vegetarians and I think how a restaurant approaches a vegetarian meal says a lot about their passion and... More

Havana was highly recommended by other family members who had visited Bar Harbor, as well as by most major restaurant sites. All were correct as we had a wonderful experience. Despite the ordinary appearance from the outside, Havana was a classy, upscale dining atmosphere. The service was superlative. While we enjoyed a delicious meal in the restaurant, music from a... Made a reservation for Havana on the way over to Bar Harbor after exploring Acadia National Park on a Saturday night. Arrived 45 min early before our 8.15 reservation, but were quickly seated in the outside area, which was warm and cozy even on a chilly evening. The server was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We started with the recommended Proveleta-awesome... More

American fine dining with a Latin flair. Havana has an elegant modern atmosphere, an extensive wine list, knowledgeable staff and a sophisticated menu. Seafood, vegetarian and meat dishes are flavored with intelligence and respect and change weekly, sometimes daily. Havana is located in downtown Bar Harbor, just a short stroll up Main Street.
