My sister and i ate here and enjoyed everything. I had a delicious blueberry margarita to start with. The bouillabaisse is full of fresh seafood in an amazing tomato based sauce. My sister had the Shrimp scampi and loved every bite. We then had the most amazing deserts. I had the chocolate gluten free cake which was out of this... More

We ate dinner here upstairs overlooking the street action. The food was excellent. The wait wasn't too bad. Drink specials were okay pricewise but excellent tastewise. Recommend anything they offer using blueberry.

My wife and I used to stay up the street from this restaurant in previous visits to Bar Harbor and always came here to eat. This was our first visit in several years. The service was good and food was the best dinner we had on our three day visit. We both had the salmon smothered in blueberry butter. It... More

This resturant had good serious and terrific foods. We went with our four kids and everyone found something delish to eat. The poor man's stuffed lobster and lobster crostini was fantastic. One of my son's had the NY strip medium and it was done perfectly. The chicken parm was meh....stick to the seafood for a great experience. RV parking right... More

We have been visiting the area each year for decades, and decided to try a place that we never have eaten at before. We won't be back. We split steamers. Beyond me how you can ruin those, but they we dry and falling apart. Maybe overlooked and then left to sit for a long period and reheated? Then we had... More

We went to Poor Boy's with our extended family of seven. It was a hot night and they sat us on the porch in a corner, which gave us a delightful cross-breeze. The service was excellent. Wish I could say the same about the food. All of the kids ordered pasta with meatballs, and then did not eat them because... More

We thought we had a reservation at another restaurant and did not, so we ended up at Poor Boy's. We sat outside, very nice atmosphere, good drinks and good food. The service was excellent.

Fairly disappointed in this restaurant. The appetizers (meatballs and crab cake) were good but a bit pricey. The entres were good but not great. Overcooked haddock and steak. But the server was very nice and comped the uneaten haddock. I don't know if I'd come back here with all the other restaurants in town but the wait staff was very... More

Quaint place, we went at like six but didn't have a reservation but thankfully they sat us upstairs on the porch, which provided you a nice view of the people roaming the streets. I had a DELICIOUS Blueberry Margarita which I could have drank all night. My hubby & I shared the lobster fri-Diablo it was really good but very... More
