We had been here numerous times over the years. The food, prices and service make it a best buy in a lively town that at times can be over priced. Poor Boys remains a bargain while offering what vacationers are looking for. We will return.

Seafood Alfredo is succulent. Plenty of food; no skimping on meat portions. The sauces are so tasty...it's hard to decide which to get. The Rosa over linguine was my latest choice-it was delicious. In a 10 day visit to the island, we ate here three times. Every year we always make at least one stop at Poor Boy's.

Solid, filling food with little pretense. Staff is interested in you and interesting people.(Ask them where they are from and the reply will amaze you. Pasta is a must.

We dined at Poor Boy's on our last night in Bar Harbor and the food was delicious, I had the eggplant and my husband had the steak. The service was very good! I wish we would have gone there more, I will be sure to put them on the top of my list for our next visit!

wanted Italian food and chose this restaurant. We sat outside in a plastic enclosed porch area. Not very pretty. Service was great. Had a chicken parm dinner which was average and a pretty good pasta dish. They tout a blueberry daiquiri but opted for local brews instead. Away from the busiest part of town but walkable and parking in the... More

Came here for the first time last year and it was so good we had to come back. Their food is wonderful and the lobster carbonara will make this a stop anytime we are in town!

This place was recommended by our tour guide but we wish we'd gone anywhere but here. The service was awful, the bland, uncreative food was way overpriced, and my husband and I both felt like we were walking around with lead in our stomachs for the rest of the evening. The waitstaff spoke horrible English and our server rolled his... More

The location was a bit far out of the center of town but it was a nice walk. The food was very average, nothing really popped out. The service was great, but the restaurant felt a tad crowded. "The Average Joe" of restaurants.

I have been coming for many years now. The food is consistently good especially the Caesar salad with lobster. Great for families, friends, couples and dogs. Good food and drinks at a great price.

Four of us enjoyed a very relaxing dinner upstairs. Good bread, excellent crab salads, lobster pasta and blueberry margaritas. Service was excellent, the weather was grand, and the food super. Casual dress, smiles and a good time. Recommend highly.
