Good food, the lobster, steamers, soup and corn were all fresh and delicious. Good pie. Since its high season our waitress was very busy. She did a nice job & was very friendly & helpful. The restaurant is clean (for a lobster place) and well run. There are 3 bathrooms around the kitchen center of building so try them all... More

Side Street Cafe came highly recommended. (Reportedly better than Café this Way.) Our lunch party of four found the food and atmosphere okay, but not worth the rave reviews we'd heard. Three of us had different lobster dishes, and all the lobster was overcooked and rubbery. Service was fine, the restaurant a bit loud. We had planned to have dinner... More

Excellent lobster roll! Good portion sizes. Great outdoor seats. There is chicken fingers for kids even if the menu doesn't say it.

My son and I had lunch. The brisket burrito must have been 6" long and 3" across, filled with (of course) shredded brisket, beans, rice and I don't know what else, topped with avocado, with copious salsa. I couldn't finish it. Not sure what my son had, but his spicy French fries were excellent.

We visited SSC on a foodie tour that morning and it was so good, we went back for dinner that night. Everything we had there was just excellent, as was the service.

Large group after sunset kayak trip - loved everything we ordered from finger licking buffalo wings to an assortment of mac and cheeses! The wait staff were hopping but very attentive. Enjoyed their featured margarita which for July was a cucumber watermelon😃

This place was recommended by our innkeeper and rightfully so. We enjoyed our first visit so much we went back a few nights later (even though we like to try new places). Loved the Northern Cuban sandwich. They don't take reservations, but they will text you when a table is ready (outdoor seating is also first come, first serve).

Group of 19 of us ranging from ages 13 to 75 came here for dinner one evening. Thankfully we made reservations as it seems to be a very popular place. The menu was filled with options that are sure to please a variety of tastes. The mac & cheese options are many - we particularly enjoyed sharing a small lobster... More

We had dinner at Side Street Cafe two of our four nights in Bar Harbor. Both meals were delicious! We ate lobster, halibut, clam chowder, and crab cakes and all were delicious! Dessert the first night was blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream - yummy! The second night we shared a piece of cheesecake and wished we're ordered two! Service... More

My wife and I ate there recently on our way our of Bar Harbor. The food was good (not great) and the service very good. Unfortunately, the place is very noisy with children screaming and running around. Apparently the parents are to blame, as the wait staff can only do so much to "heard cats". The drinks were very good,... More
