Have eaten here over the years but always order the same thing -- the Kalua pig sandwich, then take it next door to the beach. I never went inside so I didn't know about the scriptures although I knew the owners were Christian. For me, that's another reason to give them my business! I read the reviews and hope they... More

They catered a dinner for our group and oh my how it was good. It was a blue plate special buffet on steroids. The Kalua park was fabulous as was the Mac salad and coleslaw. The chicken was also tasty.

After a long day at Waimanalo Beach we stopped at Keneke's for shave ice! There were many varieties of flavors as well as ice cream and azuki beans. The cones were very large but placed in a small styrofoam cup...so it was very messy! Keneke's appeared to be very busy so it might be worth a second visit to try... More

Discovered this place 10 years ago and hoped to revisit on this trip. I wondered if it was as good as I remembered! YES! Lunch plates with choice of meat and romaine salad or fries or Mac salad $7.99 with a drink! Shave(d) ice spelled without the "D" in Hawaii is smooth as snow! Lovely drive out of congested Waikiki... This place looks pretty ordinary from the outside, but the traditional Hawaiian BBQ food selection is DELICIOUS, fresh and well priced! It was such a surprising find ... just try it! :)

My wife and I stopped here for a quick takeout. There was one person ahead of us at the outdoor window where you place your orders. We put in our order and waited. The young lady inside was by herself and busy making the drinks for people inside and the person ahead of us outside. The food was good and... More

We love visiting this local favorite in Waimanalo. Keneke's might not be the Ritz, but their Shave Ice is without equal...I kid you not! We love their pork and rice bowls, too. A great menu and the food is "dekine good brudda!" Really!

And not healthy! Lots of tourists the place is crowded, has been for 16 years and provides mostly very greasy food. I wish more greens were added for each plate!

Had the Mahi sandwich, and it was delish. Good, quick eats, and delicious milkshakes. Definitely a local place, but so convenient lots of tourists, too. Not fancy at all. Tables are limited, but there under a shelter that is mostly concrete. Seems to be mostly a take-out joint.
