Excellent selection of local style plate lunches. Large portions, and reasonable prices. They have Fried rice, Chicken Chop Suey, Sweet Sour Spareribs all served with mac salad and rice..the Localmoco is the bomb.

We were staying in the area for a few days. We passed by this place a few times, but the day before we saw that a police officer stopped here to get food, so we figured this place has to be good. The place doesn't look like much, it's a walk up with only a few tables for sitting out... More

I've driven by this place so many times and judged it by its looks and I was wrong. We finally stopped by one day and I was pleasantly surprised by how much food they give and it tasted pretty good too. Good thing for the Internet with sites like Trip Advisor so visitors and locals alike can find out about... More

Best Chinese we've had on the island. Sure, it's a total dump place but so what? The food rocks. Huge portions, cheap, and super tasty. Most definitely we'll be back whenever around Waianae in the future. And that's gonna be within the next couple weeks!

Go. Try it. It's great. I can't wait to go back next time I am on Oahu! Hawaiians know how to cook! You aren't supposed to judge a book by its cover. So why would you judge your food by it's appearance?

If you are in the Waianae area for any amount of time, you'll want to try both the L&L Drive Inn and Barbecue Kai. They serve the same kinds of plate lunches and sandwiches but they have their differences in presentation as well as lunch specials. These are value oriented fast-food places with a unique local flair. Try the Hawaiian... More

We were hungry in Waianae after a snorkeling cruise and found this. The first thing we noticed is they had quite a few customers (all local) in the middle of the afternoon. The food is good, not great, but there aren't a lot of choices in this sleepy little town. We liked the beaches around the town and at here... More

Decided to try something off the beaten track. Jack in the box across the street... Food was good and variety for picky eaters like my kid... burger for $2! Had the garlic shrimp and it was great. As they say all meals in Hawaii come with macaroni salad and 2 scoops of rice as this did. Salad was ok.

My wife and I stopped here based on the trip advisor recommendations. It was just down the road from where we are staying. The place does look rough on the outside, but don't let that scare you away, you would miss some really good food. My wife and I each places an order and it came to just over $16.... More
