Coquitos is the best and quickest Puerto Rican food restaurant you can find in Oahu. The Alcapurrias are not the same. They're small and just not the same. The Mofongo is the best its pretty close to the actual mofongo. Overall, like I said its the quickest and closes thing you can get to Puerto Rican food.

We went here because of high reviews and we were getting a little tired of kahlua pig so we thought we would try something different. I ordered the steak and my wife ordered the chicken. They both had so much garlic paste on them you couldn't even taste or smell anything else. With that being said there tossed salad and... More

Found this spot on Yelp and thought I would check it out while doing a group ride on my motorcycle. My friends and I stopped in and received a hearty and warm welcome at the door by the staff. It is a small and quaint spot on the "West side" that takes you back to old Puerto Rico and truly... More

My wife and I stopped in and had a very good lunch there. She had mafongo with chicken and I went with the Argentine flank steak. We were both well pleased and the coconut flan was a real treat. Kevin and Vickie from Mississippi.

We came to Hawaii on vacation with friends and the last thing we expected was to find this little gem. We were the first party to arrive right when they opened and it only took 30mins to quickly fill up and have no available seating inside. Very cute inside and the service was incredible, friendly and fast. Now to the... More

We drove like crazy trying to find this place that was highly recommend and it did not disappoint!! The food was amazing. We are from Florida, so we go to a lot of Latin restaurants and this one is so far one of the best. The portions are a good size so you will definitely leave satisfied and our server... More

We were staying in the area and this place was at the top of the list for dining options so we decided to give it a try. I've never had Puerto Rican food before so I can't say if this place is authentic or not, but the food was definitely good. The waitress, which I assume is the owner of... More

Hawaii is beautiful, but food options are not as vast as the NJ/NYC area that I am accustomed to. After my second week in Hawaii, I was getting tired of Hawaiian BBQ, fast food and Asian cuisine so I was thrilled when we accidentally stumbled upon Coquito's on our way to the beach. The restaurant is a small, no frills... More

If you don't crave fast food, Chinese or Hawaiian BBQ, then check out this new place! The focus is mainly Puerto Rican, maybe a bit of Cuban; certainly not to confuse with Mexican fare. Lots of different empanadas. Just order the sampler and get surprised. If you are less adventurous, the rice dishes are a safe bet. The restaurant is... More
