A local friend took us here on our vacation. With a little guidance from the restaurant staff, we chose a variety of rices, noodles and entrees. All were delicious and filling. My favorite was the garlic fish and the ginger rice. You get A LOT of food for the price. And can "divide" your choices up to try a little... More

Large, clean establishment offering both eat-in and take out. Either way, you go through a cafeteria-style line to fill up your styrofoam tray. The offerings are fairly standard for Hawaii, both in selection and taste. Value is excellent. The real reason I always go back to this place though is their incredible collection of fresh-baked manapuas and other Island savory... More

I have been to this location twice now, and both times have been top notch. I would recommend just getting the small plate as you get 1 starch (or two halfs) and then 2 different meats. This was more than enough for dinner 2 nights in a row. They also have manapua's which are really neat with the Kailua Pork.... More

Chan Wah Kam is a buffett-style fast food place. They generally have some good choices at Kapolei but they pale compared to the Waimalu restaurant. They often run out of their best dishes--their Char Siu pork in particular. They don't have water-cress on a regular basis. Another thing that irritates me? Their styro-foam plates have a "divider section" that takes... More

Happened to be in Kapolei early for a library visit. Stopped by Chun Wah Kam for some baked manapua. Oh, so hot and deliciously soft. It just melts in your mouth. Even more important two friendly, courteous, helpful, and respectful smiling twenty-somethings fulfilling my order. This is a rarity in our day and age! Great place if you're really, really... More

Buffet of all Chinese buffets. On the weekends there are more choices of dishes. Several starches to choose from, splits are encourages. Many vegetable and protein dishes to sample. Manapuas of all varieties are a main focus, but come early to get your favorites, once they sell out, they close!

Had to go to this place twice as first time there, found out had to pre-order manapuas and other steam buns or probably all gone if you go there for take out dinner food. Ordered a bunch of steam table food first time. Most were okay with the shoyu noodles and teriyaki chicken being the best. Lemon chicken and orange... More

They had a very delicious raman soup and a cool little place to step off the street and eat. Nice staff. Prices were average.

Born and raised on Oahu, I grew accustomed to Chun Wah Kam located in Waimalu. I also enjoy the menu and food there, so when I decided to visit this location, I was looking forward to the same delicious experience. I was surprised to find that they did not carry have the same menu as the Waimalu location, which means,... More

Chun Wah Kam is the best place to go for a variety of Manapua's! What was once just a Char Sui (sweet red pork) filled bun is now available filled with everything from custard, hotdogs, pulled pork (kalua pig), chicken and MORE! You can also request a few of them cold or call ahead and have them freeze the manapua... More
