This place came highly recommended from a neighbor who lived nearby this restaurant for many years. She gave it a rave review so our expectations were high. We had spring rolls which were actually fried and more like egg rolls than the fresh rice paper wrapped spring rolls we are use to. We ordered a yellow vegetarian curry which was... More

So we visited this restaurant on our trip to Oahu from Texas. The experience was fantastic, the Chef (Chef Guy) came out to visit with us before the meal, my wife asked him to "pick something" for her and he made her a lobster dish that according to her (I don't eat lobster) was one of the best meals she... Great dinner. This restaurant has become very popular with Guy, the new chef. He uses Thai spices and flavor with the good old standards and the excellent Big Island beef, New Zealand lamb, fresh local fish. It's worth an effort to visit Chao Phya Thai.

This restaurant, with a relatively new chef, is excellent. All the beef is local Big Island organic. Vegetables are local and fresh, gathered daily from the Chinatown markets. You will find the usual dishes and many others that combine Thai spices with New Zealand lamb, tenderloin, fresh fish, crab cakes, and more...go see for yourself. Daily specials are great. Plus... Chao Phya Thai has the best spring rolls on Oahu. Mama Toy adds curry spices to her meat spring roll for a distinct flavor. located in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking.

Had not visited here for about a year. Took g-daughter and friend there tonight for an impressively delicious meal! Newly redone inside, new owner/manager and the menu, lots of choices! Ample servings, price comparable to other restaurants in area. Sample of desserts plate, gratis! Exquisite ! No need to drive to town anymore for grand Thai food. Kaneohe has it... More

Amazing atmosphere, great food and amazing desserts. Really enjoyed it. The chef is really outgoing and a people pleaser, gave us free desserts which was finger licking good. The food was really good but their best was chicken coconut soup best soup I ever had.

We've been coming here for over 20 years and now with the addition of Chef Guy working with Mama Toy and Chef Tui there is coconut ice cream all the time, a wonderful birthday dessert and all the usual delicious dishes my kids have grown up with like crispy noodles, sateh chicken, cashew chicken, basil Mahi, garlic shrimp, spicy beef... This place consistently serves good thai food. It's small and not very exciting decor but the food is worth it. The service is pleasant. Kaneohe doesn't have a lot to offer in the way of restaurants, but thankfully Chao Phya Thai is here.
