We happened to come across this place on our way to the zip lining. Since I had never had poi we decided to stop. So for about $2 you can get a small sampling. It's just enough if you've never tried it. They have other menu items. It's a whole in the wall but there were customers. The women who... More

Very friendly people, they let as sample everything before we ordered. We loved the food and the atmosphere. The food is different than most of what we experienced elsewhere and reminded partially Parisian dishes.

Stopped at this local joint after reading rave reviews. Had a combo plate with Laulau and squid luau which were to die for. I am not a fan of squid luau, but had to try this local specialty again. It was smooth, had tender large pieces of squid, and was so good that I couldn't put it down. The fresh... More

Stopped for lunch; got 2 mini plates with sodas for less than $20. The squid lu'au and beef lu'au were tasty and came with a scoop of rice, plus a small container of lomi lomi salmon. Skip the chain food restaurants and eat local.

While traveling up the coast between Kailua and the North Shore, you will come to this great little valley called Whole. On the mauka (mountain) side of the road is the Poi Factory. By all means stop. Order a mixed plate. My favorite is Squid Luau and Kahlua pig. Comes with extras. Get poi. The you get your plate, take... More

Thought the range of food on plates is good, as others have said, but dang, that fresh milled poi is so good! Usually spooning the thin-ish, sourish poi you often will get served around the islands is ok with a meal. But this fresh milled poi makes me want to grab a spoon and eat it straight. Would you do... After a long grueling hike on the Nakoa Trail, we were starving for something to eat. There is very limited places to choose from and we knew we could find the real deal on the North Shore. This place was exactly what we were looking for. We arrived just before closing and were welcomed with friendly staff that allowed us... More

Real people that love what they do. The woman that took our order went way out of her way for us. I asked her what is their best She tells be everything and she says you do not know Hawaiian food and leaves and I am thinking OK. Then she comes back with a tray of little portions or just... More
