It's hard to go wrong with the North Shore shrimp trucks, but Giovanni's is the original. There's a number of different types of shrimp, so if you're with a partner or a couple of people, get a few different types and share them about. Each dish comes with salad and rice. Grab a shave ice to wash it down.

I saw great reviews here about how great the shrimp is. We tried 3 different dishes: Scampi, butter + something and spicy. Scampi is definitely the best one. The spicy one is very very spicy. Other than the scampi, the shrimp is mediocre at best. I think there's better food on the north shore.

Went for lunch, waited a good 20-30 minutes. Totally worth it. The best shrimp we had while in Hawaii. My mom concurs- and she can be hard to impress.

Amazing food! Interesting just driving up north shore and this little gem just "is." I couldn't get enough. I'll be coming back for more!

A few hours after our first visit to Giovanni's Haleiwa location, we were getting hungry again and so we decided to drop by the Kahuku location to have more shrimp (haha). The shrimp truck was located in a busy area with other food vendors nearby. The parking lot was packed but we were able to find a spot. This time... More

Butter garlic shrimp with rice just does not make sense to me, linguine would be an excellent choice in place of rice. Also, the portion size is huge, so I wished we had ordered one plate and shared. Too much butter at the end was making me sick. Don't get me wrong, but Giovanni should consider cutting down the portions,... More

Visited here 6-yrs ago and returned with my husband to show him what I was going on about. The guys at Giovannis did not disappoint. Queues in the day are loooooong so we visited around closing time-so we had little wait and the place pretty much all to ourselves. The shrimp is much more plain than some of the other... More

I ran into Giovanni's by accident! It was good shrimp, had great flavor- if your are in the area, stop and try it out.

Good place for simple lunch after Climb works. Food was good. Facilities basic- picnic tables, outdoor sink for washing before and after, and restrooms nearby. There are free range chickens around that you may have to shoo away. Plenty of shade to sit and eat. There is a smoothie truck and small Hawaiian market also.

I was exploring the island and a local friend of mine told me I "must" eat here if I'm cruising the North Shore. I was really underwhelmed by the experience. It was obviously popular because the line to order was 20 minutes long and the line to pick up food was about as long. You have three choices of shrimp... More
