Party of 2 adults, teen girl, 8 yr old - we shared the seared ahi salad, poke sampler and the tempura banana dessert. Service was quick, pleasant and the atmosphere was very chill. - 8 yr old loved the marlin poke - traditional poke was not as tasty as I expected - it was if it was missing an ingredient... More

Very good authentic Japanese seating on cushions on the floor take your shoes off and relax. Varied menu good choices. I started with cucumber salad with seaweed and then had sashimi trio which were both excellent. I continued with a lightly fried calamari salad which was delicious, the dressing was good everything fresh and tasty. Waitstaff was attentive and helpful.... More

My wife and I were visiting the North Shore of Oahu and we stumbled across this little sushi place. The quality of the sushi was wonderful. Service and recommendations were also excellent. They even have the ability to sit traditional Japanese style on the floor with mats (although this did get uncomfortable after a little while). Highly recommend.

Stopped in with a group of about 12 people. Had an assortment of appetizers, all were delicious. We ate the Salmon and Scallop Nigiri as well as the lemon drop and Baja rolls. The best I've ever had, and beautifully presented. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for some quality sushi, and would go back myself!

Kinda hidden off the main drag, is a great little sushi spot in the North Shore. We had the coconut shrimp, poke sampler, and a volcano roll. All incredible. The service was great, very attentive. Highly recommend!

We love this place, great sushi, soki, service. Price wise i found you get what you pay for. The Bonzi roll is my favorite.

A few people at our resort had suggested this restaurant when we asked for a good sushi option, so we went here for dinner! The place was really cute and we were greeted immediately and told it would be about a half hour wait. To be fair, by the time we were seated, it was almost 9:00 and they don't... More

We came here with our 12 year old son, who loves sushi, but it would also be a fun date place. They offer tables, but we chose to sit in the floor cushions. The service was slow, but the food was mostly good. At night they play movies on a big screen. It's a little off the beaten path (but... More

Excellent sushi in the back corner of the shopping area. Popular, so make a reservation or come early.

I actually forgot to review this place. My wife and I went here when we vacationed in Hawaii. It was the freshest sushi we had ever had. Relaxing place great atmosphere great food.

Voted one of Oahu's best by Honolulu Star Advertiser four consecutive years, BANZAI Sushi Bar is truly one of Haleiwa's best kept secrets. Tucked away in a back corner of the North Shore Marketplace, casual fine dinning, outdoor covered seating with Japanese-style seating on Zabuton pillows or conventional tables, diners relax all while watching surf videos and enjoy live local musicians on the weekend. BANZAI uses local organic produce when ever possible and has their very own Hawaiian fish buyer who presents himself on a daily basis at the worlds largest Tuna fish auction here in Honolulu allowing them to serve the freshest fish almost immediately. With one of Hawaii's best Sake selections, any sushi lover and sake connoisseur will be in pure nirvana. Dont miss BANZAI Sushi Bar on your next visit to Oahu's North Shore in Historic Haleiwa Town.
