I normally will not write a negative review. This time I waited 10 days and can't let it go. We have stopped here for lunch for many years. I have never been treated so poorly in any of our travels. After ordering spicy shrimp we...were asked if we ever have had it. When we said yes, she asked where we would eat. I pointed to a table. We were asked to fill out a contract tracing form. We did. We sat, socially distanced from a couple, while others were not asked or expected to distance. A few minutes later she called our number, told me I couldn't sit at the table and suggested we eat in our car. We took our shrimp, ordered from the crepe truck and ate there. BTW, crepe was delicious. I don't expect a lot from a shrimp truck in the way of service, but this was beyond rude. Because of this woman's attitude toward us, I will never eat there again. There are so many other great places. Don't be fooled by the name or reputation. It's actually a little nicer to eat at another truck where you are welcomed.More

They give a dozen shrimp with rice and three different sauces. Lemon butter, garlic and spicy. All are good but spicy is extremely hot.

Very tasty and fresh shrimp (the #1). Messy to eat with the shells on, so try to wash your hands first to minimize COVID risk. None of the cooks were wearing masks, unfortunately.

One the Haleiwa food trucks, is call Giovanni’s. As you will find this place highly recommended, it is a great idea if you come actually a little early for lunch to avoid the long lines not only to get your food as well to find...a place where to eat it. This low-key environment makes it even more enjoyable. The food itself with its high reputation and great expectancy, will be found to be particularly good. Parking it is a little bit tricky but definitely worth the trip. Add this place to your must stops.More

This place is famous for its garlic shrimp! My friend had the garlic shrimp, it smelled amazing.. if you can handle lots of garlic you will love it. I went for the lemon butter shrimp. Big portions, shrimp is big , tender and so good....If you hire a car and drive around the island, this is a place to stop for lunch!More

Love Giovanni's garlic shrimp!! It is messy so prepare to get your hands dirty but you can always wash up on their outside sinks. There isnt a large selection but you really don't need one, just get the shrimp! :) Very simple ingredients and definitely...not a fancy place to eat but it is well worth the stop. If you get the garlic shrimp make sure you really like garlic because there's a lot of it....and bring a mint for after.More

Before I went to Oahu, I kept hearing about the North Shores garlic shrimp. I built up a craving for it. I was kind of let down after eating it. To me, there seemed to be too much seasoning on the shrimp. I could not...even taste the shrimp, and I really didn't like the seasoning. After paying the 14 or 15 dollars for it, I felt like I had to eat the whole thing. It left an unsettled feeling in my stomach for an hour or two. The Shrimp truck had a lot of people eating there, so maybe it was just me.More

Best shrimp on the island. Full bodied goodness. Fresh garlic flavor. Heavily recommend. Make an effort to get to any Giovannis truck as they make all the other garlic shrimp truck chefs look like amateurs.
