Best shave ice on the North Shore, my favorite is vanilla ice with azuki bean at the bottom. Yummy!!

We tried to sample as many shave ice places as possible during our trip to Oahu. This was the best! We got there right as it opened and 45 minutes later there were 50 people in line. Be sure to check out all the great t-shirts!

On our last morning in Haleiwa we stopped here as we were told...when in Haleiwa you do have to go here at least once! We got one to share which was cherry, lemonade and raspberry and for flavoured ice it was so tasty! I was very surprised at how nice it was and even though it was a little busy... More

I remember getting shave ice from Matsumotos years ago and sitting on a bench out front enjoying it. Now you have to wander through the side entrance in a long line. Just for flavored ice. The thrill is gone and there are other options as good or better. The small town feel with a local hot spot are gone. Now... More

Stopped here as part of a North Shore tour. Lines were long. Shave Ice was very good but not the best we had. They did have 3 dietetic flavors two with no tastes. Banana was good.

We were really looking forward to trying this, but were shocked by the lines. Had to wait for about 30 mins. The shave ice itself is quite cheap and the portions are huge. However, I've gotten just as good shave ice other places, and the whole waiting thing is not worth it. My gf actually thought the shave ice here... More

A must stop for anyone visiting the North Shore of Oahu. Easy to find, just look for a long line of people that are standing around waiting for something. That would be the famed Matsumotos Shave Ice. A snow cone in mainland lexicon, no one knows why Matsumotos Shave Ice is so good, it just is. Maybe it is the... More

Ok. I did not expect to be wowed by what I thought was going to be a glorified sno-cone, but was I wrong! My husband and I shared a Hawaiian combination with ice cream and beans. I can only say that this may be the main reason for me to return to Oahu some day.

Good shave ice, but this place is so popular that as a local, I avoid it. There are places within walking distance that are every bit as good, where your business is appreciated more, and the line isn't a turn off. If you happen to stumble upon the place at a time when it isn't mobbed, it should be tried.

Amazing shaved ice, amazing service, nice little shopping area- definitely our favorite! The line is always super long but moves very fast. Prices are the lowest you'll find on Oahu. A must visit!!
