Great price, amazing flavor. Visiting from California and we have nothing like this. I want to fill my luggage with chicken.

The half chickens are roasted over coals right infront of you. It is a tented food stall. The line is long and the food was excellent. I tried the pineapple cole slaw. Really good, who would have thought to put pineapple in cole slaw other...than Hawaiins? the only drawback is there was nowhere to sit and eat.More

It’s that good that I’m a repeated customer to Ray’s Kiawe Chicken. It might be away from Waikiki area but it’s definitely worth the drive for some delicious chicken. Unfortunately they are there on the weekends only, so plan your trip and you will not...regret it. Can’t wait until next visit to Honolulu.More

We sought this place out on our trip to the North Shore. They broil over coals, chop it up per order and offer a few sides. The chicken is juicy, the sides were average, but the pineapple slaw was a pleasant surprise. There are so...many food options along the road here, try a few if you can!More

Didn't regret lining up for this place! While I was waiting for them to cook the chicken, I was silently judging it and saying that it looked too pale to even be tasty but when we got to taste it, myyy was I wrong, IT...WAS DELICIOUS and packed with flavor! The special sauce was so so good too! When in the north shore, make sure to try this place!More

We came across this place by a fluke! and the chicken is amazing. We bought a whole chicken to take home for dinner. We were pleased. For $12 we got 8-10 generous pieces of chicken.

Ray’s chicken was good and juicy. Got a whole chicken chopped up, two scoops of rices and drinks. Went to the beach had lunch under a tree and life was good. It wasn’t Huli Huli chicken. But it was as close as you gonna get.

So tasty! Best chicken ever! Perfectly seasoned, but not overpowering. We got a whole chicken, chopped, with a side of Cole slaw and it was the perfect meal for two of us. Pro tip: order on the right side, the long line on the left...is usually the people who already have orders in! Must go here when on the North Shore!More

On a recent holiday in Hawaii, a good friend of ours who lives there, offered to take us for a trip around the island, stopping off at his favourite food stops on the way. We gladly accepted, and on our last Sunday on the island,...we made our way to the North Shore. As we drove in to Haleiwa, we could see the smoke wafting over the area and then we could smell chickens being cooked over a bbq. Our friend parked in a nearby car park and we crossed the road to find Ray's Kiawe broiled chickens in full swing ! The crowd waiting to buy the chicken bbq was large, and the chickens were being cooked on a rotisserie over a metal trailer heaped with burning charcoal, the smell was amazing. We bought a chicken which was cut up in to smaller pieces, some pineapple coleslaw and we made our way to the local beach park to enjoy a cold beer and the tasty chicken pieces. The chicken tasted as good as it smelt, simply melted in your mouth. I would recommend stopping at Ray's to buy some of his chicken, it is certainly unique in this part of the island and we will be stopping by next time in Hawaii.More

This is the best chicken we’ve ever had. The seasoning is not overpowering so it’s good for everyone. It would be difficult to duplicate how this is cooked. Light and dark meat are both terrific. The chicken also warms up well so we bought another...one to snack on later. It’s worth the trip to town on the weekend to enjoy this meal. The staff works very efficiently so don’t let the line concern you.More
