You can drink but don't eat

We had two breakfasts and two dinners at this hotel restaurant and the food tasted no better than that at a roadside diner. The wait staff seems to be inexperienced and/or ill-trained and badly supervised. The kitchen staff seems to just cook food rather than prepare restaurant dishes. Come for... read more

What a great spot for drinks & music. We loved it! They're reopening the restaurant in December the band said & then it will be even better to hang. The drinks were excellent and the music but we did need to get some food so we had to cut our stay there shorter than we would have liked. We can't... More

Please disregard the rating. We did not eat here, but just wanted to let people know that we are not sure if this place is even open. We were under the impression that it was burnt down in a fire, and it has not reopened yet. I was told it has been closed for some time. We drove by and... More

Didn't eat at the restaurant because it burnt down. The outdoor bar was still open. Go for the Friday night jam session. Get there early for a seat. You will see Hawaiian performers who are Not doing a "show" to entertain tourists like on the other islands. There may also be some vendors selling some nice shell jewelry and other... More

Go on Friday night for the Jam session. Lots of people, great local musicians and hula dancers. Hula punch is dangerously good and the bartender makes a nice Mai Tai (aka strong).

The restaurant will be under construction soon, due to a Kitchen fire. Once the restaurant reopens, it should be excellent again. The bar is open and has wonderful Hawaiian music for FREE every Friday night from 4:00 to 6:00. Great music &lotsof fun.

Was great until kitchen fire caused closure, has been closed over a year, still has a bar. The views and oceanfront location are exceptional.

To start with the good, the location is stunning! Great ocean view and music early in the evenings on Fridays. The menu is very limited, which would be ok if they hadn't run out of over half their nine menu offerings (including rice, hamburgers, and mahi mahi). When my chicken arrived, it was completely RAW and the waitress was very... More

...how could this be such a highly rated restaurant. They now offer food that is cooked on the grille - mahi mahi, chicken, hamburgers, & a deluxe hot dog - sandwiches or a dinner plate. Limited fare, obviously, but tasty and good quantity.

We went to the Hotel Molokai for Aloha Friday. It's THE place to be Friday, from 4 to 6. We each had a blended lillikoi margarita ($10.50). I had the grilled chicken and my wife had the grilled mahi sandwiches. They came with onion, tomato, lettuce, pickle spear and a bag of chips. They were good but not exceptional. The... More

I’m pleased to hear that you enjoyed the music and the view during your dinner with us! Thank you for posting your review, I appreciate it. Aloha Friday is extremely popular (as you stated it is THE place to be on Fridays!) and we recognize that the complimentary parking can be a challenge during this time period. Spaces do become...
