Overpriced and underwhelming. Don’t come here hungry! Portions are very small and will leave you needing more food, even after spending over $100 like we did (no drinks). Two scallops will cost you $32 and it’s $24 for two ounces of salmon. There are many...restaurants on the island. My recommendation is to spend your money somewhere that will provide more value for your dollar.More

A must place to dine in Paia! Vana's ambiance is overwhelmingly pleasurable and it's felt the second you walk in. The stylish decor matches the beautifully crafted scratch cocktails and each dish is an artfully created masterpiece! Staff is warm, attentive, and unassumingly attractive! Definitely...go, you won't be disappointedMore

We are traveling “foodies” and have eaten our share of great meals around the world, but what this little restaurant is offering is just remarkable. We ate here two nights and had drinks a third, so I can honestly say that we tried most of...the menu. The bartenders were great, especially the woman from Annapolis, Maryland. And our server/ bartender Colten was outstanding! Here are some of the dishes we tried (a couple of them more than once too): the local prawn salad, the oysters, the Vana spoon (sea urchin), the eggplant, the mushrooms, the cauliflower, the yellowtail jalapeño (sashimi), seared salmon belly, tuna wasabi, lava roll... All of it was delicious! The chef who created this menu is worth his/ her weight in gold! They also had special holiday cocktails which were refreshing and tasteful (thankfully not too sweet). This place is a real find and we highly recommend it. It’s a fairly small and intimate restaurant, so it’s probably smart to make reservations. We just sat at the bar, which was very comfortable too.More

If you haven't been to Vana, youre missing out. It's incredible for a date night, the sushi is amazing, and the cocktails are great!

Food very pricey, service extremly slow. Steak was cold and well done, I ordered medium, no refund. Not recommended, Paia fish market across the street is a way better place.

We had a cancelled flight so an extra evening in Maui. Another couple mentioned checking out Paia. Found this restaurant and couldn’t have been more pleased. Excellently trained staff and bartender. Wonderful dinner from artfully and tastefully done salad to great sushi and NY steak....Incredible dessert as well as very good selection of wine by the glass. Not only did the waitress come around and check on how things were, the bartender had a slow moment and came out to ask us how our drinks were and later the owner was having dinner there with his family and came around to make sure everyone was enjoying their dinner. Great intimate dining experience. Next time in Maui we will be back. For those that say is expensive, maybe, but worth it!More

This place has a good vibe however it lacks generosity in both serving size and service. We arrived at 5.30pm without a booking. There was only one other couple seated. We were told that their bookings were full and that we could sit at the...bar. We did. Stools very uncomfortable. We ordered a few things on the menu, which were quite pricy. When our food arrived it was presented very well however we barely got a bite each from every dish. We left having eaten 5 entrees, and at well over $100 (not including drinks) we were still hungry.More

We ate twice at this beautiful little outdoor restaurant amidst the trees and fairy lights. Sushi was spectacular and we enjoyed their delightful, imaginative and utterly delicious chef’s menu on the second night. Cocktails and service also top notch! Definitely recommend

Kitchen was only 10 feet from my table - Smelled awesome, but could feel the heat a few times, Staff were AWESOMe and the food was great. Atmosphere was also great. Kinda hard to find - behind a hotel or something of the sort

This restaurant is a real gem! It is located in a small backyard with stylish interior! We went there for brunch and it was very good! The eggs benedict were incredible! Would go there again!
