We came here after viewing the sunrise at Haleakala. You would not guess that this place is famous for their baked goods as it appears to be just a little general food market. However, you'll notice the long line coming out of the store which leads to those famous baked goods. Because this family has been at it for over... More

We chose this place to stop from our Bike Trip to Haleakala and it was a great choice. They have plenty of variety, we had to get a box with a little bit of everything! Great prices too!

On the way down from the Haleakala sunrise experience, we stopped at this wonderful little bakery in Makawao. There was a long line but it was worth the wait. Their pastries are just fabulous! Try "donuts on a stick"!!

Didn't even know this bakery existed without the rave reviews on Trip Advisor. Of course we would of probably found it on Baldwin Avenue in Makawao since it's across from the Sherri Reeve store but I knew I had to go here as all TA people rave about it. Plus- it's best to go in the morning (they all say).... More

Our guide book strongly recommended a visit to Komoda Store. I can't imagine why. The baked goods didn't look particularly appetizing, but we bought two pastries. Both were disappointing.

We wanted to eat everything in the store. The food was so delicious and the staff was friendly. We loved our treats we got from the store and we wanted to go back for more.

I could say the malasada were my favorite. But then, the hot cross buns were my favorite. And the cinnamon snails, the donuts...there was nothing I did not like. I could have stayed and eaten one of everything. Will definitely return.

This a must do! Makawao is a very picturesque town hidden away from the main routes. Of the many interesting shops here, Komoda Bakery was my favourite. Honestly, I have never had donuts that good. Do not miss this.
