We came right when they opened at 11am for an early lunch and were able to get a prime seat on the outdoor patio. The view of the ocean and atmosphere is beautiful! Hubby and I ordered a burrito and a chicken quesadilla. This was...one of the best meals we had while we were there! Absolutely delicious, highly recommend it!More

Awesome people. The staff and service was so great here. We had a wonderful dinner at sunset. The have great cocktails and huge portions for their food. Nice to have something besides seafood. Fun atmosphere.

Setting is gorgeous. Service is excellent. Food is average but very expensive. I hadn’t been there in two years and there was a definite decline in food quality.

Their host staff sucks! We got there at 7:10 and the hostess told us it would be 5 minutes. A lot longer went by and each time we checked in with her she told us that we were next. Every single person who came in...after us was sat before us and we were literally the last people to be sat. We were sat at 8:20! If we had been told we’d have to wait over an hour we would have gone elsewhere. The hostess told us we only had 15 minutes to order, eat, and get out because they were closing. But when the waitress saw us she was very kind and didn’t rush us. However, after dealing with this we couldn’t enjoy our meal. We felt that the hostess was discriminating against us. I live in a town where a lot of people visit Maui and I will make sure to tell everyone who visits of our experience here. We were there 3/8 so the manager is aware of who this was.More

My family and I were on vacation in Maui (in the Lahaina area) and got some takeout for dinner from Fridas. The staff was very friendly. We got a cheese quesadilla and a rice and bean burrito for the girls (5 & 7) and my...wife and I got the carnitas taco and the fish taco. My wife's fish taco was ok but my carnitas did not have the crispy edges nore was it very flavorful. You don't go to Hawaii for Mexican food but since we were there for a week we want to mix it up some. Overall I would rate the food as just ok. If you are used to great mexican food, you might want to wait until you get back home.More

This restaurant is located the road behind the Cannery Mall on the beach side. It's a popular spot so make a reservation. The parking is on the street and also there in a small parking lot south of the restaurant that is shared by two...other restaurants. The chips and salsa are $2..50, but worth the price. The "salsa" is unlike anything I have had before. I would call it a dipping sauce. It's delicious and the chips are not corn chips but are yummy. We had the same thing both nights we were there. It was so good we hated to try something else and be disappointed. We had the short rib enchiladas and shared one order - which was more than enough for us. We put it on our list of "places to eat when in Maui". The service was good. Due to restrictions there aren't a lot of tables - especially those for 2 people. The only problem we had was that the host tried to seat us at a funny, really small table where you had to sit with a corner between you, knees hitting each other, and very little room for food. We told him we'd wait. There were several tables for 4 empty. He mentioned that he had to save the larger tables for larger parties, but after a few minutes he showed us to a very nice table for 4. Give it a try. We really liked it.More

After reading all these great reviews I was looking forward eating at Frida's Beach House; the place is really cute next to the beach but the food is really disapointing. We had 6 different meals and nothing was good. Very disapointed would not recommend at...all to anyone how wants a nice meal. I am sorry to write this bad review but really would not go again even if it was free.More

Love Mexican food and love restaurants right on the ocean ... you get both with Frida's. Not claiming it's the best Mexican food I've ever had and definitely not the cheapest Mexican food you can find on the island, but our food and drinks were...good, and the views are killer (was there during sunset). We'll definitely go back next time on the island.More

I ordered the vegetarian burrito and it was very dry and really didn't have any spice or flavour at all. My husband had the fish one and said it was fine, but not amazing. I thought it was quite overpriced. The portions were very big,...and if the food was better than would have been a good thing.More
