If you have dined at one of Roy's restaurants, then you have dined at them all. The continental fare is just what you expect, and the high price is what you fear. I have dined at 6 Roys and I can safely say I am done, unless he kicks it up a notch.

What a meal my girlfriend and I enjoyed here! First, I've been to Maui several times, but was reluctant to visit Roy's in their old location in Kahana. It just didn't seem to fit. Now that Roy's is in Kaanapali, now we're talkin'! We started with a spicy crunchy tuna roll and cauliflower/kale/bacon appetizer. Both were fantastic! The girlfriend ordered... More

The Monchong is AMAZING!! The is one of our favorite meals on Maui. Service is always good. The fish dishes are some of the best preparations on the island - especially the Mongchong. Of course, no trip to Roy's would be complete without the chocolate soufflé dessert, so save room.

We love that we can walk to Roy's from our Marriott timeshare. Roy's is always consistently great. It can be noisy especially if there is a game on. Service is always spot on and friendly. Our server this time was Adam who was a real joy. My gibson was great and my wife's Seagram's VO was made perfectly. She had... More

We are big fans of Roy's and have probably been to a dozen different Roy's over the years. All have been very good just like this one. This one has a bit more of "restaurant" feel compared to some like the one in Ko Olina. That being said, the food and service was very good. I had the salmon prix... More

OK. I have to admit that this has become a habit whenever visiting Maui. Yes, it's expensive. However, the food is always worth it. They have an extensive and imaginative menu every night. The wine list is excellent. The service is always better than average. The restaurant overlooks the 18th hole at the Kaanapali golf course. Personally, I liked the... More

We went on a Friday night. We got there at 6:45 for our 7:00 reservation, and the restaurant was full, including people eating at the bar. The hostess told us they were seating on time, so we'd have a short wait. I'd recommend making a reservation just to be on the safe side. I have been to the Roy's in... More

We had not been to Roy's in over 10 years. A new location, new layout and different menu. We had a table looking out over the golf course. Nice change from the old place. The service was excellent. Thank you Susanna. The food was excellent/very good. The Brussel sprout appetizer was excellent but you better like Brussel sprouts. The salads... More

A serene setting overlooking the Kaanapali Golf Course. Elegant dining, terrific service and wonderful wait staff. Food was stupendous. We dine at Roy's on every visit to Maui. The pineapple upside down cake tasted great except for one bite that tasted burnt. I mentioned that to our waiter and his manager comped the dessert. Wow, great gesture.

Our family of four dined at Roy's on our last night on Maui as a sort of goodbye/celebration dinner. Unfortunately, our meal wasn't particularly celebratory and I found myself wondering why. The short answer is that even though the food was delicious and the service professional there was nothing 'magical' about the experience in any way - particularly given the... More

Welcome to Roy's Kaanapali! Since opening the original "Roy's" in Hawaii Kai in 1988, I have set out to explore "new directions," blending classic European cooking techniques with unique influences of Asia and the Pacific, guided only be the freshest local ingredients and my own sense of freedom. Every night our menu features a selection of "Roy's Classics," which are menu items that have been favorites since the beginning. These are noted with the "Y" symbol. In addition to these Classic dishes, Executive Chef Ryan Ferguson along with Sous Chefs John Balisco, Marc Urquidi, & Jessie Anacleto offer a unique selection of seasonal items & nightly specials. Cooking has been my life... Thank you for making it part of yours. Roy Yamaguchi, Chef/Founder
