Most of the restaurants in the Ka'anapali resort area are good but not great. Black Rock Kitchen was the most consistent. Short rib was the best entree of our Maui segment. Korean beef bun appetizer was outstanding. Only complaint was re their ribeye which was a little tough and had a huge fat section which should have either been trimmed... More

Stayed at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa in Kaanapali, Maui last weekend, August 19th thru 21st, and had a chance to dine at the resort's main dining facility, Black Rock Kitchen (formerly known as Keka'a Terrace) for dinner on August 19th, The whole experience was just wonderful so thought I share a little with everyone. Had no plan for... More

The food was above average and cooked perfectly. The service was very good and the presentation was good.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Sheraton for one night to end out our stay in Maui and splurged on room service. We were originally going to eat in the restaurant but learned upon seating that the resort was not licensed to serve alcohol for one night only due to an error in paperwork, so we thought we would... Our family of four, including two foodie teenagers, ate at Black Rock in July. We didn't feel like leaving the Sheraton and decided to try this restaurant having already tried others in Whalers Village, Lahaina, and elsewhere on the island. Black Rock turned out to be our favorite. Our server, Anthony, was the best server I think I've ever had,... More

Very fresh fish, cooked to perfection and well seasoned. Great cocktails to choose from. Our server was very friendly.

The restaurant's name was Black Rock Kitchen, but it didn't come up with that title even though I just went to the Sheraton Maui website to confirm. I ordered the Seafood Mixed Grill. It consisted of a small lobster tail, 3 scallops (that were chewy), fish and 3 fairly small shrimp. It was $44.00. I had to ask for a... More

We were looking forward to a delicious and romantic meal...we received neither. The setting and view are nice, but that was the only positive part of the experience. The food was below average. My steak was tough and my wife's seafood was both under cooked and tasteless. We have been going to Maui every year since 1987 and have been... More

Ordered the pre fixe and thought I was off to great start with delicious salad. But as you can see in photos the medium filet I ordered was overcooked. You can't see that it's also over-salted. Unfortunately, the lobster tail was the worst I've ever had. You can see the black goo that filled it. My husband says he thinks... More

Celebrated a birthday at this restaurant. We sat outside, before sunset, and enjoyed the music from the pool bar. The meal was delicious and the service was top notch. Right after dinner, we walked over to see the sunset cliff dive ceremony. Beautiful evening !
