Had a great dining experience at the Monkeyhub. Joel did an outstanding job of guiding us through the tropical drinks and entries, and all were exactly how he described them. He really knew the menu. The fish and chips sounds pedestrian, but they were light...and the fish was fresh. And the other meals were great as well. A special shout out to Joel, he made our meal an excellent success.More

Great food, Great Drinks, Amazing Venue. We had reservations at another venue, but saw MonkeyPod and knew that’s where we want to be. The Mai Tai is a must. I loved the Kale Asian Salad. Many of us are familiar with Japanese salads with Miso...dressing, but this one with Kale is a must! My Ahi was great. Other greats are the Ramen and do not miss the Corn Chowder! Thank you MonkeyPod! I’m coming back next time...More

Friendly staff, excellent culture and environment. Food was not great. I ordered the cheeseburger “medium well”. I ate the outside as the rest was medium rare with a lot of red. I showed the server who just acknowledged with an “oh ok” response. Guest recovery...didn’t exist. Won’t be back.More

I went to another Monkeypod for my birthday in Wailea in 2014, so I wanted to take my boyfriend here for his. This location is in in Whalers Village, so it was within walking distance of our hotel. I'm not sure if I just built...it up in my head, or it was just a little bit better at the other location years ago, but we didn't come away with the "omg that was so good" feeling. It was a little pricy for what we got, I think I would have been totally fine with the price if it was mind blowing food. Overall, great, maybe it was just a fluke thing (or my opinion might be overtaken by the burger not being great), but we had a meh feeling about it. I would go back again to see if we were wrong about it. It was definitely busy, had to wait a while to get a table, but the service was good.More

Monkeypod was by far our most favorite restaurant during our trip to Maui. The food was fantastic, tasty, and had a great atmosphere. While a little on the pricey side, it was well worth it as everything we had to eat and drink surpassed all...of our expectations.More

We dined here our last night in Maui. I had the Macadamia Mahi Mahi which was good, but not great. My husband had the fresh fish tacos which he enjoyed. The views from the restaurant vary depending upon your seating location. Service was just okay,...we kept having to get the waiters attention to get our drinks refilled and went for 30 minutes without seeing him after we initially ordered.More

This was our 2nd dinner in Maui. We originally made a 5:45pm reservation about a month in advance but on the day of, we had a late lunch - we were able to change it to 7:45pm. We were lucky enough to get a table...along the edge, though it overlooked the boardwalk (right above someone selling pearls at a stand) instead of out towards the water. Our water was very helpful and happy! We started out with lobster deviled eggs, which were very good. They weren't overly lobster-y so they were pleasant to eat (but a little pricey for what they were). I had an amazing pasta dish with a chunk of lobster and variety of seafood for my main dish, in a wonderful sauce. Seriously, it was one of my favorite dishes the entire time in Maui. Monkeypod comes highly rated so it was no surprised that it was probably our favorite restaurant of the 3 places we ate in Whalers Village (and not nearly as expensive).More

Excellent location on Ka’anapali Beach. You definitely should have reservations to ensure timely seating. While a bit loud inside, we were fortunate to sit outside and enjoy the sunset. The fresh snapper with risotto was outstanding! The pizza was just okay. The Mai Tai drinks...were very good. Our server Wolfgang was very personable and attentive!More

Dined her 3 days in a row, twice for lunch and once for dinner. Amazing tacos, pizza and burgers. This place is a level above any other restaurant in the Whalers Village. We noticed it gets pretty crazy busy around the peak times so be...prepared for a bit of a wait. It's worth the wait...More

We visited this restaurant on a recommendation from others. It was very busy at lunch but were seated within 15 minutes. The service was great, the food was good but it was rather pricey for what we ordered. We have had lots of great fish...tacos in Maui over the years so my expectations were high for this hot spot. Even though we enjoyed the food, it didn't wow me to return. This restaurant is located in the shopping center at Ka'anapali beach. It was extremely hot that day but this open restaurant has ceiling fans that helped. But it was still very warm so if you don't like the heat this would not be a place for you.More

We ate at the Monkey Pod Kitchen in Kaanapali twice in January, and found it to be a wonderful experience. The gluten free option are limited, but the staff was very accommodating, so I would anticipate that you would not be... More
