Eat outside if you are not into a noisy bar

Walked in and almost walked out because the bar was packed wall to wall with maskless, shouting and singing people. Went through the bar and got a table out on the uncrowded porch. Bartender came out and took our order. Draft beers (Harp and Kona) were $5 which is cheap in Hawaii. We ordered calamari and got a huge basket for $11. They were hot, tender rings and at least 30% more than I can ever recall getting in any other restaurant for 2/3s the price. The 1/2 pound Duck blue cheese with bacon burger was perfectly prepared rare as I requested with 2 big strips of bacon. The fish and chips included 3 big pieces of fresh tender Mahi Mahi and lots of hot fries. Service was prompt and friendly. Oddly, the fish and chips came with green peas.

Great pub!

Yes, it does a get a little noisy, but I liked this place. I had the fish and chips - the fish was fresh and first rate. Malt vinegar for the fish was available at the bar too. Yes, it came with peas, so what? I guess the previous reviewer has never been to the UK. Wonder what he would think of the mashed peas they serve there? LOL! The service was quick and efficient here, most of the patrons friendly, and the prices were downright reasonable. Highly recommended.

No one is masked indoors - beware!

Good food. Noisy inside. Friendly staff. Nice tables on the patio. Good price on beer and food. Green peas served with entrees, just like in the UK. Kids outside is OK. Signs posted to be masked, but no one enforces it. Bouncer at the door is masked, ironically. But no one was masked inside. Just something to keep in mind, if it bothers you. If it does, then stay outside.

Guinness is about all that’s Irish about this bar.

Read all the reviews but most of them are from one to two years old, something must have changed, we were met by a very hostile barmaid who seemed to be upset from having to service us when she was in deep conversation with a collection of large men in a wife beater "T" shirts and a large dog. Also seemed to be a bit of a Chelsea football fan supporters hang out. Limited draft beer, blue moon, Coors (light), and a selection of over hoppy local craft brews. Nothing special about the bottled beer either, but they did have Bass ale. Did not risk ordering the food so cannot make any comments, eat at Manoli's pizza company instead. TIP: Good view of the sunset from the parking lot. Please would you give a thumbs up below if you found this review informative? Thank you.

Bad bartender.

Hi. I don’t usually write reviews but I was in here at the dog and duck on January 23 2023 at 9pm with my wife on vacation. We were enjoying our evening watching a couple of guys playing darts and enjoying music when the bartender came over to the men playing and turned the light down so they could not see to play anymore and made a big deal out of them playing. They were minding there own business not bothering anyone but themselves. This lady behind the bar was very unprofessional and disrespectful to them. My wife and I left after that because she made a seen for no reason at all. Had to write this because I could not believe the way she acted. For that reason don’t think we will be returning if she is there.

Great Irish Pub!

We had dinner here with friends. My husband and I split the fish and chips $15 and two beers $12. The fish was quite good. The service was also good. Right across the street from the beach where we saw a few whales and a fantastic sunset!

We went on 9/17, hoping for something celebrating halfway to St. Patrick’s Day, but no. Ordered bangers and mash. The menu stated real British bangers. They were NOT real bangers. Very disappointed with the meal. The server wasn’t very bright. Every question asked she left us to go and ask someone else.

Great pub with friendly servers

We didn't have reservations anywhere so we tried this pub since we love Irish pubs.What a great find. The beer was great and the Fish & Chips were really tasty. But the highlight was the sauce for the Hawaiian Spring Rolls! I would put that sauce on anything.

It's easy to find good places on Maui, and this is not one of them. Dingy and grimy, the clientele was whack. The food is not good. The owner talked to us but he was weird af. Although it is pretty scary and we felt slimey after, luckily there is a sign that reads "no meth around," so that was reassuring...

Stopped in here while the girls went shopping and they had great drink prices and great vibe we had just ate so we didn't order food but saw some come out and it looked very tasty.... Ask for the bluberry yum yum....

Irish Pub in Maui!

St. Paddy’s Day in Maui! We had to find an Irish Pub! Staff were so helpful and friendly and welcoming! Met lots of locals! Guinness was Room temp as it should be! For 2 Newfies visiting Maui it was a great find!
