Had a great Father’s Day breakfast on vacation. There was a line when it opened and took us about 30 min to get in. Food is outstanding and plentiful. The stuffed French toast was outstanding - very good with a layer of pineapple/passion fruit cream...between the perfectly done French toast. The bacon was very good but not super crispy - just how I like it but for some in my party - they like it well done. Syrup for the island pancakes was a rum flavored syrup that was delicious. The heavy kine breakfast was very good but the potatoes were pretty salty and garlicky - perfect if you like that but if not, may not want the potatoes. Prices were outstanding for the food quantity and the coffee is very good.More

Everything was good, short ribs, poke bowl, chicken salad, drinks. Good service and reasonable prices (for Maui). Yum!

Went for lunch; loved that you ordered and pay right away as it seemed to eliminate the wait time. Great food; great service!

We were looking for a place to grab lunch in Kihei on Maui, and based on the Yelp reviews (thank you to my fellow reviewers for your reviews), we chose this place. The directions from my Garmin had us turning into a dirt alley -...go a bit further, Garmin is confused. This place is pure Hawaiian at least in our opinion. They offer fresh seafood, as well as classic mainland fare like burgers with a Nalu flair. You get in line to the left of the reception station for lunch. Menus (breakfast, lunch) are on the right side of the waiting area, so you can figure out what you want. When you get to the reception area, you tell the person there what you want, then look at the bar menu and order drinks, then pay and tip in advance, and they give you a tray with silverware, napkins and a number. You then go to the Pineapple over the bar, where they'll have your drinks made up hopefully, which you can use the tray to bring with if you want - give them your number (not the number "tent" as that's how your food is brought out.) Okay, get through that, and pick a seat - it was nice and warm with breezes outside, so we sat outside. Inside, they have large walls of doors which are open, so you get less sunlight, but all the breezes anyway inside. I strongly considered the Poke Bowl, but the Ahi Tuna Club looked like a better selection. The sandwich was served with fries or chips - I went with the chips based on the attendant's recommendation and they were good. The sandwich had a nice zing to it - I can't quite put my finger on the source, but it was tasty as you could ask for. I matched that with a Longboard Lager, which was cold and tasted good. The tall glass warmed quickly - I guess I wasn't drinking fast enough. My wife had their Black & Blue Benedict, which she really enjoyed. Normally, the eggs are served with soft yokes, but she got hard yokes and figured it was the health department. It was served with slices of seared Ahi tuna and potato slices spiked with Furikake, which was very tasty. You can get free water inside - it's cold, and has a slight lemon taste to it. I can see why this was popular. The food was very good.More

Pictures looked good online so we tried Nalu’s, because it was within walking distance from our VRBO. What a pleasant surprise. The island style beef short ribs were great—thin cut, easy to eat, great teriyaki-style marinate. And lots of them. My wife had the apple...Brie Bacon burger, which was also excellent and a large amount of food. We split a beet/goat cheese green salad, which was well done but honestly unnecessary because of the large portions. Ordering/seating is a little weird but it works and is friendly: patrons line up against a bar with menus on it, and you proceed to the host and order before ever sitting down. You pick up your drinks at the bar. But the servers are attentive, and the food is served quickly. Live music in the evenings. Breakfast menu looks solid, and I suspect we will go back before we leave Kihei. Overall it was great food and a relatively great value to us.More

Some locals that we are friends with told us about Nalu and convinced us that this would be a great final night dinner. They hit the mark. Very good pub style food, nothing spectacular but well prepared. We had the burgers and ribs between all...of us. Like I said, nothing over the top but very well done. There was a performer there that night, it was a Friday night, and the music was a little loud for the coziness of the place.More

Nalu's became our favorite restaurant when we spend a week on Maui. The staff is excellent, service top notch and food delicious! They also have musical entertainment nightly which we enjoyed thoroughly. All and all, a fantastic place to eat while in Kehei.

We ate lunch there yesterday and enjoyed it very much. The food was fresh, well cooked and attractively presented. I had the Pake’s Chicken Salad and thought it was delicious. My husband had the CBLT and enjoyed it a lot. We'll be back again with...guests. My husband is looking forward to trying the Cubano sandwich.More

I f I can give negative review for this highly rated #1 restaurant I will doit. The receptionist who took order in the front was really rude the first question that he asked was are we the next customer in line? He even verified it...from the next customer if we’re the next in line the first thought that came to my mind is he races? The food that we ordered were not that great the red snapper was soaking wet with oil and we have to get our own water and drink. Service was really bad . Better to order your food in a food truck rather coming to this placeMore

We actually ate here twice during our week stay. Husband tried Loco Moco and I had the traditional Poke bowl. Both were so yummy we went back another day.

You line up to order and pay, then get a tray of water glasses before finding a table. Bar drinks are to be picked up at the bar. Not sure if this was always the procedure, or an adaptation because of COVID, but just kind...of weird. Fortunately the food comes to the table and the staff are friendly. Food is reasonable and quite good. Menu has adequate variety. Dining space is slightly dark, open air and casual.More

This place was absolutely incredible!!! Food was awesome, drinks were the best we’ve had. And service was awesome! Went for dinner then breakfast the next morning. If we had found this jewel before the end of our trip, we would have eaten there every day!...Love this place so much!More
