As I walked out with my order I was going to give them a very low rating but the food saved them.
I was looking to get a to go order so I went on their website and called the number they have posted for phone orders, nobody picked up. I took a drive there expecting that they would be closed but no they were open so I went up to place my order. Even though 1 entire area was closed the waitress told me they were so busy they couldn’t pick up the phone (never seemed that busy really).
I was directed to bar and eventually got to place my order. After a time that seemed like my order should be ready someone came from the back and put a paper bag on the bed next to the bar tender. She seemed too busy talking to one of the waitresses to check whose order that bag was. Eventually a waitress came to me asking if I was waiting for an order (after what turned out to be my order was sitting on the bar for 5 minutes). I got my order
When I got home ready to give a poor review I dug into dinner and it was good. Real good. I ordered the Loco Moco (a hamburger on a bed of rice with gravy over). It was real good especially the gravy.

Stopped for dinner on a Sunday evening during happy hour. We were seated at a table overlooking the beach which I loved! There were TVs showing hockey and time trials for the Olympics - typical sports bar vibe and feel. We ordered a tropical storm and longboard to start with the much talked about calamari fries. The calamari fries were amazing - thick slices of calamari lightly breaded with a slightly spicy Chipotle aioli. The portion was small (5 slices) but the slices were quite thick. We ordered the Kalua pork sandwich and the mahi mahi with fries. The pork was cooked typical Hawaiian flavor and was delicious. It was served on the bun with cabbage slaw, wished there would have been a bit more pork on the bun, but it was very good. The mahi mahi came with three generous chunks - lightly breaded and flaky. The fries with both meals were so good… just the way I like them: crispy! Our server Justin kept our waters filled and asked for refills on drinks, but brought the tab without asking about dessert which we were really looking forward to. He realized his error and came back and asked when we made no move to pay. We ordered the brownie dessert… brownie pieces in chocolate mousse topped with whipped cream! Yum! The bill came to around $80 before tip (keep in mind it was happy hour on the drinks) but we did order dessert and an appetizer.

They have great cocktails at half price during happy hour which is 4 to 6 every day. They have some tables with an ocean view if you are eating there. There are also tv's there for those who are interested in sports. The food is good and decently priced.

Food was great! Beer was cold and service was great. Went a dead time of day and still had great food and service. Food was fresh and very quick getting food out for our group of 10

My wife and I went here hoping to watch our favorite team play on one of their TVs and to have a snack. The server put our game on with no problem, and we enjoyed our Happy Hour beers. We eventually ordered calamari strips, which were pretty good, followed by the Holy Guacamole burger and a taco combo with mahi mahi and Kalua pork. Everything was really good! The server can be forgiven for being a little slow, as it appeared there were only two of them for the entire (packed) bar. The only downside was that our team lost.

Great casual sports pub atmosphere with friendly staff, great food and very reasonable pricing for Maui. Suggest going between 4 and 7 for happy hour. Taco tuesdays are the time to go if you want to have a good fun meal at a very affordable price (best deal for a meal in maui). hamburger special on wednesdays also very good. Hamburgers were great.

We recently went to Moose/Fred's for breakfast and what a hoot. The selection was huge as were the servings. I ordered a two mac/banana pancake stack with 2 eggs and bacon and when they brought it out, an automatic response was OH GO* DAM*, look at the SIZE of that platter! The pancakes hung over the sides of the plate and were 3/8 inch thick, maybe a half inch, the eggs were definitely JUMBO, and the bacon strips thick as shoe leather but a whole lot more tasty, crisp but not over done! I had to eat part of the pancakes with butter only to make room to put on the incredibly flavorful syrup. I am a big man and there was no way I could come close to eating all this. In fact, I took half the serving back to the condo and had the rest for breakfast the next morning. While you are seated just a few feet from South Kihei Road, the view was splendid and the noise of the traffic was not bad enough to spoil the atmosphere. We had a ball and the food, service, and ambiance was top notch. Five stars in every way. If you come here, the two things you need to make sure you bring is your aloha and an appetite!

Put my name on a wait list for seating. Only five parties on list. The hostess called those ahead of me. I expected to be called next. I was wrong. Several other parties were seated over the next ten minutes Then when she does finally call my name, someone steps up with a “request” for seating that involved a $20, She actually seated that party and looked me straight in the eye and said “I did not call you.” Between the mediocre service and average fare…this place is a hard pass.

We wanted to find a place in Maui for “Happy Hour with a view”, and found Moose’s online so gave it a try. We timed it poorly, so were too late to watch the sunset show from an outdoor seat, so watched the sunset from the beach across the street ( with a LOT of other folks !!!), then went into Moose’s for Happy Hour afterwards. The drinks were a good deal, and the Happy Hour goes until 7 pm. But there isn’t any food included in Happy Hour , just drinks, so we ordered some full-price nachos with chicken. We’re still not sure if they were a bigger disappointment, or a bigger rip-off, but for $15, they were easily the WORST chicken nachos we can remember eating. Served on a very small dish, with a skimpy amount of both chicken and melted cheese, with cold (!) and tasteless chips ( how you can have melted cheese on cold chips is a mystery to us).
So - our suggestion would be to get there early for the sunset show if you want a prime outdoor seat, but stick to the Happy Hour drinks, and get your food after you leave, at a real restaurant !

Went in for quick evening food. Great atmosphere, watched the beginning of trivia night. I had the mahi mahi fish and chips; light breading, great fries. My grandson had the wings, they are his passion and he said they were some of the best ever- great seasoning and just the right amount of kick, not overpowering.

Why is it not a restaurant? Because you needed to be drunk to rate the food any higher. At best this place is a bar. I had the Cuban sandwich. The only positive was it was moist. Even asking for extra pickles. There was no taste. It's supposed to be a combination of pork, ham, pickles, and cheese. This sandwich had none of these favorites when I bit into it. No I wasn't drunk as I hadn't touched my flat beer. The fries were over done and cold. My wife had the French dip and was more kind than me. As she said it wasn't the worst French dip she had but far from best. This is part of two other restaurants. I've written all three off my list for my stay.

Had a great time sitting at the bar. Eammon, Justin, and Ian were great fun. There was another bartender that we cannot remember his name, but he was great also. We had fun getting to know the other customers at the bar and had lots of fun. The Kalua pork quesadilla was fantastic, especially with jalapeno's on the side. Drinks were especially good and never had to wait for a refill. Bartenders knew how to take care of their guest.

Walked up for there Tuesday night taco specials. I tried the shrimp, which had a creamy garlic sauce that was on point if you like garlic, and the ahi taco, which was stuffed with ingredients to compliment the ahi. Fab…did not disappoint. Very filling. My SO tried the pork and the Mahi also very pleased.

We stopped in here for early lunch during a stroll in Kihei. Super friendly bartender and genuinely happy to see us! Great suggestions from the menu and cocktail list. asked us several times if we needed anything - this is a guy every bar owner wants working for them! Food was good. Chicken Caesar was not overworked, Coconut shrimp was light & crispy, tasty cole slaw with an Asian twist to it. Tater tots were a welcome change to the normal french fries. Food portions were large and we couldn't eat everything so go hungry! Great views of the ocean from the open-air bar! We'd definately return.
Decor could use a little refresher as it seems conflicted with sports bar? beach bar? lodge?

The place was not busy. Waitresses passed by a dozen times. Didn’t even get the dirty table cleaned. Just the 2 of us. Too bad. When we eat out or pick up food during the pandemic, we tip really well. Probably a 50% tip was blown.
