We visited this place twice on our recent trip to Kihei/Maui and it lived up to the reviews.
Similar pricing to what you’ll find another restaurant / fast food shops in the area, but these sandwiches are made fresh and really tasty!
Personal fav was the pork belly that came on a hoagie with Boursin cheese. A great spot to grab grub after or for the beach (which is right across the road).
Be prepared to wait for 15-20 mins especially at peak eating times as this place is always busy…..for good reason.

Hey there and welcome to Maui!
Lunch is a real big deal here on the Island. At the 808 Deli on South Kihei Road across from Kam II, you can eat lunch all day, any time, 9-5 seven days a week!
Their menu includes Daily Specials in addition to all their regular priced items. Choose from breakfast sands, paninis, hoagies, salads, sides like Mac ‘n cheese, keiki menu, and don’t forget the puddings!
Now taste foodie heaven then thank Josh, Rachael, and Karen for their Aloha! And no, I don’t work here—I’m just a local from the lunch bunch.

When you really need a salad for dinner after too much shaved ice, this is your spot!! Amazing salads and the passionfruit pudding is the best thing ever (salted caramel pudding is quite salty if you like that kind of thing). Keiki grilled cheese wasn’t that good but maybe it was an off night. Overall really good value. Will be back.

Mostly a grab and go place, does have seating and tables if you want to sit for a meal. Wide variety , I had the “ belly dancer” burnt ends sandwich, which was very good. Others had a “ red rooster “ chicken panini which was tasty, plus the Italian sandwich which was tasty, plus “ the squealer” which was also very good. Decent prices

We were looking for a quick lunch and decided to try the 808 Deli. MISTAKE!
We came from the Northeast and know what a true quality deli sandwich should be! This isn't it!!! Not even close. They should be ashamed to call this eatery a deli. It is a local sandwich shop at best. The locals apparently don't know any better.
The pastrami was very dry and nearly tasteless. The amount of meat was rationed to a few thin slices. It should be thinly sliced and piled high! The bread was heavy and doughy. Yuck.
For this 6 in. sandwich it is very expensive and highly disappointing. I ate less than half and throw the rest away. They try to pass off a small panini for a deli sandwich.

Josh and his team are still feeding the neighborhood. Daily Specials served all day to support our Kihei community—and for very reasonable prices.
They are serving hearty breakfasts, gourmet hot dogs, paninis, scrumptious salads and flavorful sandwiches all day—SEVEN days a week!
We have told our neighbors and friends from our sunny Kihei town: Go here, treat yourself to a great meal. And guess what? They already do!

We stopped by 808 on our last day and the entire family loved their sandwiches and sides. There were tons of options for the whole group including our vegetarian. Service was fairly quick and friendly. We took our meals across the street to one of the beach parks and enjoyed on a picnic table. Highly recommended!

We stopped in for a quick sandwich to go and were very surprised at the different sandwiches. My wife had the chicken salad sandwich and I had the Porkie Panini. We each had a side of fresh fruit and we got a large terrific meal at a great price. Stop in today you'll be glad you did.

Tucked in behind Fred's, with limited parking, 808 has fabulous fresh sandwiches made while you wait (not more than 5-10 minutes tops). No pricier than any other sandwiches on Maui and more than we could eat. We were there twice and would definitely go back again.

We always get a sandwich to go when we are leaving Maui to eat at the airport before we board or on the plane instead of an airline meal. Always fresh and they will pack food for the beach or the airport.

We were truthfully expecting more than what we received. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches and the eggs were way overcooked. The sandwich was very dry as well. The bacon was fine, just the eggs improperly prepared. At least on this occasion, the deli didn't live up to the hype. We will try them again tomorrow and post an update if needed.

This was the only place open for an early lunch before we headed to airport to go home. It ended up being one of the more affordable and best meals we had during our five-day stay. Great service and right across from the beach. We grabbed our sandwiches and crossed the street to sit on the wall overlooking the beach/ocean.

Have meant to try this place for years as it was highly recommended and it did not disappoint. It was hard to decide since everything on the menu sounded good but went with Porkie and chicken salad on multigrain and we both loved our sandwiches. Will definitely return on future trips and now I also highly recommend!

Don't just order on the phone without looking at the menu - we did that the first time and when we picked them up and saw the amazing choices on the menu board we decided we had to go back a 2nd and even a 3rd time. Serving sizes are great and prices are very reasonable. Staff super friendly. Highly Recommend

We discovered 808 Deli early on in our trip and ended up getting take out on multiple occasions since it was an easy lunch on beach days. Food is amazing, staff was friendly. Across from Kam 2 and easy walk from Kam 3. If you've never been, order on site the first time so you can see the menu. After you figure out your favorites, call it in and pick up. Don't skimp on dessert - the homemade chocolate chip cookies were delicious and HUGE!
