I went many years ago and was looking for something close to home. We chose Casanova’s. We arrived but they, along with all the other places, only do reservations. They found us a seat outside. Food was good , I really liked the Tortellinis. The...price is right here too. Give it a shot we will be back.More

Serendipitous find for our last evening in Maui. My foodie experience includes being a native San Franciscan and as a TWA flight attendant flying often to Europe. Their Fettuccine al Sugo d'Agnello was unctuous, coating each homemade noodle with such flavor and umami. I wiped...the bowl clean with the delicious focaccia. Grilled eggplant on the Caprese Classica was an eye opener. Creme brulee was perfect with an expresso. Salute to the chefs and the wait staff for a memorable evening.More

A little short staffed, especially considering that the place wasn’t half full but they were all friendly and helpful, if a bit rushed. Food quantity was really good, almost too much. Quality - flavors and textures were good, not great. Not sure why (they were...training a new chef, may have been the focus) as the potential fr great was there. I would go again to see if I hit on an ‘off’ day. A consideration they might take is to build a screening (short) fence in the front area so you aren’t looking right at a bunch of rubbish and connections that were really a turn off. 3’ away it looked wonderful (landscaping etc)… it would make a huge difference for those at the outside tables I recommend trying them and letting us know how they are doing.More

Probably one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant! Our party of 7 waited an hour to get drinks and bread. When our food finally came out another 30 minutes later, it came out at different times with the last two an...entire 30 minutes after everyone else’s…and it probably never would’ve came out if we didn’t track down our waitress, who not once checked on us without us calling her over. We finally spoke to the manager who really had nothing of significance to say other than they were having a problem at the salad station..30 minutes to make a salad!! Now everyone else’s food is cold and he only comps the last 2 dishes that came out. Then we get the bill and it has a $42 bottle of wine added that we never received. I would not recommend this place to anyone, ever!More

We came here specifically for the Paella. It’s quite a drive from our condo on Kaanapali beach. The parking lot is slightly prior to the actual restaurant and there’s not really any signage. Restaurant is on the bottom of a building facing a street. No...parking directly in front of it. The restaurant is small, but nice. We ordered a bruschetta appetizer and paella for 2. I didn’t love the app, but my husband liked it. Paella was very good. It’s our first time trying it so I can’t compare to anything. Everything seemed cooked well and had a nice flavor. Plenty of food for 2 ppl. Our waiter was very clearly flirting with someone at a table across from us and spent most of his time laughing over there. At one point he basically dropped/tossed our bread down and was gone before it hit the table. I don’t need a ton from wait staff so it didn’t ruin our experience, but it was really unprofessional. The guy who came by to fill our water was very kind and courteous. We just laughed about the waiter and his efforts.More

Patrick is a top notch Maitre d. He wants each & every guest to be happy with the food and drink. He truly cares and makes sure his guests are satisfied. I am so impressed with this young gentleman. He makes everyone feel so welcomed...when they walk in the door. I feel his warm aloha’s the minute I walk in the door. The food is fantastic and the drinks are tops. I hope this restaurant is able to make it thru this Covid Depression. I would be heart broken if it had to close.More

Took us awhile to find the restaurant. It was one of the best meals of our trip and the least expensive! Paella was superb and the tiramisu among the best we’ve ever had—and we like tiramisu but want it authentic. Sorry we didn’t find it...sooner!More

This place has a happy hour from 3 to 6 pm, I believe. We found that we preferred to order what we wanted rather than tae a chance on wine we might not like. We ate here twice, once at the beginning of our trip...and once at the end. The Upcountry Salad was fantastic and we split it, along with the NY steak one time and gluten free pasta with chicken and an alfredo sauce the other time. They were both fantastic ! I highly recommend eating here.More

My husband and I capped off a wonderful holiday with a lovely meal at Bistro Casanova just before flying out. Lovely decor despite having trouble finding this unassuming restaurant behind a bank. Upon seating, we were offered happy hour drinks - generous carafe of strawberry...lemon flavoured cocktail. We opted for a prix fixe menu that included salad, paella, and tiramisu. Thank you for a lovely meal!More
