Dined at Bistro Casanova before our flight home. Not far from airport but a little hard to find so glad we’d mapped it. My partner ordered the Carbonera he said it was very good. I ordered the mushroom with gluten free pasta very good. Service...was excellent. I would return - it’s a great place for dinner if you have a late flight out.More
Our family was so impressed with the amazing experience we had here. From the moment our wedding party arrived (please excuse our delay) we felt so welcome and taken care of. Our server, Angie was so kind, attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and each...dish’ preparation. The extensive cocktail list was executed to perfection and sampled frequently. All good! Bread for the table was delivered quickly and was warm and delicious. Caesar salads were particularly good with a perfectly balanced dressing. The menu was extensive, but not too big to be confusing. The chef and staff prepared a fantastic dinner for us. Nothing left on any plates! The extra touches of a desert table for the Bride & Groom for cake cutting and champagne toast and music for a first dance. Touched all the bases to make our experience so memorable! Bravo!More

Excellent place for happy hour and dinner. Outdoor patio seating available. Service was great. Came here for an early dinner and to take advantage of their happy hour menu. The food was delish! Portion size was very good. We enjoyed the ambiance and that it...was right across the street from the hotel we stayed at. We should have dined here more than once during our stay in Kahului. Bistro Casanova was our last stop before the Maui airport and provided a fantastic end to our trip. We had the paella; it was reasonably priced and fed two as advertised. The rice and vegetables were delicious and the proteins were perfectly cooked. I’m not...a big drinker, but the happy hour prices were good and my wife was happy with the size and potency of her margarita. We were near the kitchen, so we saw a lot of the employees interacting with one another. The staff seemed to be enjoying their work and that positive vibe carried over to the customer service. The free tiramisu in exchange for a peek at our same-day boarding passes was a nice touch!More
This has been one of our regular choices on Maui for years, but they have really lost a step. We had a reservation and were seated promptly only to sit and wait with occasion apologies from the waiter for over 20 minutes before we even...got to order a drink. Then the salad came before the drinks and then the entree came before we even finished the salad. So much for a leisurely night out. All the other tables that were seated before we arrived were still enjoying their meal as we were hustled out. Same menu from the last 10 years - good food but nothing new to try. They were also out of all the beers we asked for.More
We tried out this restaurant while in Maui and I was really unimpressed with both the service and food quality. The server was much more interested in her friends at the table next to us than she was in us. After passing our table 4...times, we finally stopped her and asked for drink refills, as one example. She generally seemed very uninterested in us as customers from the start. The food itself wasn’t bad, but really bland. It was probably the least favorite meal we’ve had in Maui. The “sautéed veggies” weren’t seasoned at all and the sauce on the Chicken Parmesan tasted like it was straight out of the can. The noodle dish my spouse had was really bland as well. Had a quality business dinner - the service and food was delicious. The staff was attentive and dishes well portioned and seasoned. if in the mood for Italian this is a great spot.

The food was wonderful old style Italian with a little a twist of goodness. Each item we ordered was delicious. The prices were reasonable for Hawaii. Our server was wonderful too. I’d recommend this place if you’re in the Maui area.

Jill the hostess was juggling a full house by 5 PM (with a big show scheduled at the MACC in a short while) and really stood out as folks flooded the bar, restaurant and reservations line as someone who kept it cool, calm, graceful and...easy. My husband and I could not stop remarking at how she handled disappointed non-reservers and did everything she possibly could to make them feel appreciated -- and in most cases, eventually seated. Many potentially sour attitudes were swiftly turned right under her watchful eyes and experienced reshuffle. VERY impressive. And of course, the food is divine and happy hour is tops, but don't tell anyone or else we'll never get a seat again ;)More

Food was tasteful and drinks were a little over powered with alcohol, but otherwise my birthday was fun with family.
Over rated. I liked tapas clams and mussels, spot on. It went downhill on dinner menu. Nothing was flavored, shrimp, scallops were flat, fish was burnt on one side and raw on other side. New York Steak was not seasoned, wine gravy was not fresh....Vegetables were served cold and almost raw. Very expensive, worse meal I had in MauiMore
We went to; Bistro Casanova with family for dinner while visiting Maui. We had a reservation for we were a party of 6. The ambiance is nice and we all enjoyed the food and conversation!
Our dinner last night was less than average. We have been there before and always had very good experience but this time very disappointing. First the bread served was cold. This is contrary to Italian dining. Even the second serving of bread was cold. We...had a very nice busboy but he lacked training. Upon removing our pupu dishes he obviously was not taught as to how to clear dishes and hold them properly in his hands. He stacked the dishes on our table then removed them. Upon bringing back our new utensils he again lacked serious training. He held all of our utensils in his hand and pulled them out of his hand by the front section. Not the handles! Shocked to say the least. We wiped our utensils prior to using them. My linguini was more than al dente. It was very chewy. Most of the clams in the clam shell were missing. Then to top it off we ordered expresso coffee. I had it there before, so I was looking forward to it. It came in the demitasse cup only 1/4 filled. I questioned our server and she said it was an espresso "shot". We did not order a "shot" of espresso and never had it like that there before. We turned it away. Lack of consistency and lack of training spoiled out night. You can have good food and bad service then you've had a bad night. In the same token is if you have good service and bad food you've had a bad night. I must say though our server was very nice and very accommodating as well as she could be. For the high prices on their menu the service should equal that are exceed it.More
