This was not only the most delicious vegan ice cream I've ever had, but maybe one of the most delicious ice creams ever. Glen (I'm assuming it was Glen) was very friendly. The ice cream truck is very cute. Definitely recommend stopping here on the...Road to Hana!More
This ice cream shop was AMAZING!! Seriously one of the best ice creams I have ever eaten. This ice cream DOES NOT TASTE LIKE COCONUT nor does it have that horrible fake vegan taste! I can't say enough about what an INCREDIBLE experience visiting the...Coconut Glens ice cream shack was. Glen was so friendly! He taught my wife and kids so much about the land of ice cream along with how he creates the perfect blends for his frozen treats. Hope to be back soon!More
Stopped by on the Road to Hana last week. Glen was perched in his truck, starring down his nose at every customer. Questions were greeted with a curt response. Brags of ‘I see 500 people a day here’ so hurry up. Guy seems miserable. And...was terribly unpleasant. As for thé ice cream, it’s a 6/10 at best. Nothing remarkable. But ok. But served by him it becomes a zero.More
Coconut ice cream is incredibly delicious, I have never tried this before. The kids were happy with these desserts.
My daughter said they had the best chocolate ice cream she's ever had! The lilikoi was out of this world as well. The ice cream was so good, we stopped on our way to Hana and on our return trip.
the ice cream here is delicious. We aren't vegan but, although we eat as healthily as possible, love dessert including ice cream. This is no exception, especially after the drive from Paia during which other treats are highly promoted and sorely disappointing, Coconut Glen's is...not disappointing at all, although the shack in the photo no longer exists, the ice cream is just as delicious as the last time we had it in 2014 and a welcome pitstop from the Hana drive.More
When we drove by on our way to Hana there was a huge line here, so we made a note to stop on our way back the next day. It was a really delicious, and a different texture than ice cream, one that I actually...found more refreshing.More
Our family of 6 tried a variety of Coconut Glen's non-dairy ice cream flavors and all were excellent. Don't miss this stop when traveling the Road to Hana.
We took a drive to Hana and Coconut Glen’s is at mile marker 27. It was packed on the way to Hana, so we stopped her on our way back to our hotel. My children both had the chocolate chunk, my husband had the pineapple...banana, and I had the coconut. They all were great! No complaints at all. It is vegan ice cream, so a bit different consistency, but it was enjoyed by all of us.More
We weren't sure what to expect from vegan ice cream but we were pleasantly surprised! Delicious flavors and a nice place to take a quick break from driving!
As all have said, ice cream is great. Even better was how interactive Glen was with our family of 8, incl our grandsons 4-11. We were there at the end of the day, about the only folks there, and Glen really interacted with us and...the grandkids, telling stories of his shop, his history with various old Volkswagons (a Karmann Ghia sits not too far behind his groovy '60s-style ice cream bus), his 2 cats, etc. We really enjoyed our visit.More
Great Ice Cream along Road to Hana. Only one size $8 each so pro tip get a scoop of two flavors. Pineapple Banana was great and the special flavor Lemon Goji Berry was also great. A great stop
We ordered several different flavors and every scoop was amazeballz. So fresh, so rich… I would 100% deal with Hana’s 600 hairpin turns all over again just for another taste. He really should sell ice cream in 5 gallon to-go jugs. That size might last...about two days in our household. 😋More
We stumbled on Coconut Glen’s on the way back from Hana and it was great vegan, organic, ice cream. Highly recommended.
