I had a very nice lunch of steamed gyoza and Pad Thai noodles from the Lotus Garden restaurant. There are a few covered, open-air tables servicing a number of establishments or you can get take-away. The food was reasonably priced, especially for Hawaii.

Worst meal we've had in Kauai. A PBJ in the condo would have been a far better option. You don't expect much from a fast food option, but the food tastes like it sat all day - greasy and stale.

i expected more flavor from the pad thai than just ketchup. Some more tamarind, peanuts, acidity, bean sprouts just to give it some more depth and make me crave pad thai. Hopefully this will help improve it.

On a rainy day in the midst of tropical storm Darby, we got some decent take out here. The fish dishes --Mahi Mahi and sea bass were the best. The kalua pork and orange chicken were rather greasy.

Hands down the worst food we've had on the island. Service was quick and the rice was nicely cooked. However the pad Thai was appalling - basically noodles with ketchup stirred through and not like any Thai we've ever encountered anywhere. Orange chicken was a giant plate of sticky sugary sodium sauce with 3 pieces each token capsacum and onion.... More

The thai food is utterly fantastic and makes my eyes roll back in my head. I've eaten here many times and can't get enough. It is a hole in the wall. I walk in the door, order food, and come back when it is ready. It's all take out. I highly recommend it.

The curry was good. Had the yellow beef curry and the green beef curry with extra peppers on the side. Not the best I've had but not the worst. Took it to go went to the beach and ate it. Service was friendly.

Cashew chicken, really? A plate filled with vegetables and a few small pieces of dry rubbery chicken and a half dozen soggy cashews. I should have made the drive to the new Panda Express in Lihue if I was willing to toss that kind of money for lunch. Ugh!

We stayed at the St. Regis resort, which while beautiful and elegant, is lacking a casual restaurant or cafe. We didn't want to eat at their upscale restaurants every night, especially with a small child, so we sought out something casual nearby. Lotus Garden fit the bill. We drove there from our resort (about 10 minutes) and ordered take out.... More

This restaurant is small but the food is great. There is no seating in the restaurant per se but there is a large open atria where you can eat, relax and listen to a local guitarist. (Guitarist may be there just on weekends....)
