We loved the luau! Excellent service, beautiful setting & view, awesome entertainment- a great night out with friends.

This is our 4 to VISIT to Kauai, by far our favorite luau!!!! The “show” was great and food was fantastic!! The set was intimate!!!!!!! We felt encased special !!!

The food and the Luau were very good. Not as authentic as the previous one I attended. The fire dancer was outstanding. I would recommend this Luau to other people.

It was an excellent event from the start till the end. The buffet dinner gave you a taste of Kauai and of course the Hawaiian dances were spectacular! It was a beautiful and very much appreciated photo picture moment which was given as a free...gift.More

The food was delicious. The service was great. The dancing was good but the show was not as long as anticipated. We arrived early to get a good seat and did but it was difficult to focus on the dancers as there were many child...attendees that were running and jumping on the grass right in front of the stage the entire time. As the price was quite high this was unexpected.More

This was our 3rd time at the Grand Hyatt luau and it was our best experience yet! The food was delicious, setting was gorgeous (in Ilima Gardens) and the photo opportunity was a highlight. The performances were wonderful although I feel like the production value...was a bit higher in the past with more dancers which I attribute to staffing shortages. An overall fantastic evening and a must-do, especially with kids.More

We took our 7 and 10 year old boys to this show— they had such a great time! Right when you check in you receive a puka shelled necklace, and then before you are seated you get an adult beverage or a fruit punch (for...kids). I enjoyed listening to the music while everyone was finding a seat. The host was hilarious and entertaining I thought, and he talked about Kauai’s history. The food was yummy, an assortment of island cuisine plus a nice variety of desserts. The open bar was great for the people sitting next to us— the server was delivering mai Thais on the regular. The hula dancers and the fire show the chiefs put on were on point!More

This Luau and buffet and OPEN BAR is first class all the way! Yes it is pricey, but you get a family picture included, leis and did I say open bar?!?!? I drank my weight in pina coladas and had a great time!

I’ve been to the luau at the Hyatt Kauai several times and enjoyed it thoroughly, but not this time. this was the last time unless something changes. The old crew told you all about the cultures , the dances, the history, and the food and...has many more people involved with lighting and more musicians. The old crew’s emcee was also very funny and entertaining. The Hyatt changed production companies and the new one just fell flat. There was no energy there. The crowd was silent all night. This crew was minimally interesting at best. The emcee made bad jokes (including a horny joke which isn’t pleasant with kids there), he mistimed introductions, and he included himself in the Samoan dance, which just made his bad performance even worse. Production wise, there was constant feedback screeching from the sound equipment. The lighting was just two light stands. Instead of being by the water, they moved it to a boring courtyard up by the front desk so you’re surrounded on three sides by a huge hotel. The food was about the same (no luau has spectacular food) but no one brought in a pig to show the crowd. It is a very scaled down luau. I’d look elsewhere. Especially at $200/person. From my count the Hyatt just made $36k off this terrible show which is great for them but I feel like I’ve been ripped off. Seriously, don’t do this luau.More

The food and drinks were excellent. The entertainment was fun but we anticipated more out of the performance.

Mediocre. Have been to many luau's, and this one just does not stack up. Had to be moved into the Hyatt Grand Ballroom due to weather. It was sterile, chilly and the music boomy. The female dancers were OK, the boy dancers cute, but the...music was amateurish and the vocals were out of tune. For $215 a person, it was way over priced. Through the food was good and the drinks always flowing, but no ice tea? I had expected much more from this beautiful and luxurious resort.More
