We were there with a group to celebrate our friends' anniversary. The food was marvelous and varied. The service was impeccable! The setting there on the water's edge is romantic and we celebrated love and memories all evening with our friends.

We had an anniversary dinner here on July 6, 2016. I could have picked other fancy restaurants in Kauai but for the experience we tried it on our special day since it was a walking distance from our resort. A strawberry smoothie for my son was $11.00 dollars so just imagine how much it would cost you for the main... More

My bride and I ate here on our wedding night and one other visit during our honeymoon. The service, atmosphere and food were all very good. We had local fish (opah), shrimp, lobster and steak and each meal was very pleasing. A nice meal with wine will be well over $100, but I believe a good value for what you... More

The setting is beautiful and romantic. The entire resort is 5 stars, and every view is amazing. The restaurant is set over the Koi ponds in a bungalow style. The menu is limited as most high end restaurants are, but there are choices for everyone. I was a little disappointed in not knowing exactly what vegetable I was going to... More

The food here was the kind that you stop and close your eyes during each bite. I ordered the fish with a crab topping and it was some of the best fish dishes I've ever had. Highly recommend a bit pricey but we thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

Our dinner was perfect. We had great service the whole night and the food was absolutely delicious. We had the crab cakes for the appetizer (highly recommend). I ordered the Hawaiian catch and my husband had the Opa dish. We also had bread pudding for dessert. This place is great for a splurge and a romantic evening.

We snagged a reservation fairly last minute for our honeymoon/one year anniversary dinner. We were there pretty early, around 5:00, but it was the ideal time in my opinion. There was no crowd, and we were there the perfect amount of time to see the sun set. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. Her recommendations were great, especially the seafood... More

We ate at Tidepools on a recommendation from a friend. He loved it. We found the hostess to be a bit short. We waited five to ten minutes to be seated with a reservation. The restaurant was nearly empty. We were sat, and we waited for at least another ten minutes before we saw our server. When he did arrive... More

Given the price, one would expect it to be perfect in every way. The decor is dated, as is the menu. All the basics were there like Mac nuts crusted Mahdi Mahdi. Came out with a very dense crunchy cluster of nuts on the fish. Reminded us of a fish fry with the near batter replaced with macadamia nuts. It... More

TIdepools is an open air restaurant on stilts in the middle of a manmade lagoon full of koi. Where we sat we could hear the waterfalls nearby (also manmade but very pretty). Although it was sprinting outdoors, the restaurant area is designed so that diners stay dry and comfortable. The menu is extensive and everything we have eaten there has... More
