Dining at Tidepools was one of the highlights of our trip to Kauai. The service was amazing, Les made the experience feel very special and educated us on a lot about the menu and options. We started with the polenta crusted scallops, per his recommendation and they were perfect. Cooked perfectly and just the right appetizer to start off dinner... More

We made reservations the day before, but I don't think it was necessary. We had an amazing server who was very helpful and knowledgeable. Our dinner was delicious and we even had dessert. It was definitely worth it, even though it was pricey.

We wanted to go someplace special for our last dinner in Hawaii. Tidepools fit the bill perfectly! The setting is lovely. The service is good. The drinks and food were outstanding. Yes, it's pricey, but if you're looking for a special place for dinner, this is it.

The food was expensive and sub par and the service stunk. We had to ask for more water and we were done eating before the waiter even came back to check on us. If you have a handicapped person ask for assistance to get down there because it is a long way out there but I really wouldn't bother.

We went to Tidepools because we were staying at the Grand Hyatt and it was convenient. The expensive prices, good but nothing special food, and average service aren't worth the prices.

Loved the thatched roof luxury tiki hit theme over a koi pond. Beautiful view of the sunset as we were being seated. Pricing was certainly reasonable for Hawaii, fresh well prepared seafood, ambiance and good service. My husband and I both had the Hawaiian catch which featured monchonge, lobster tail, a shrimp and a scallop over purple sweet potatoes. Everything... More

Very romantic spot! The meal was impeccably prepared and presented. Open cooking area to view the action. Nice bar area. Waitstaff were attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was very pleasant open air with sounds of the waves. Nice spot for evening beach stroll after dinner. Parking near the hotel is available but a bit of a walk. Use valet service... After waiting 10 minutes with nobody coming to ask for our drink orders, we went and told the hosts we had not been seen yet. The manager comes by and asks what is wrong like that was normal. Waitress finally comes by and says sorry for the wait as she is waiting on a table of 12 by herself. Red... More

Super place to go for a quite evening, good food and great service. Had the special catch and was superb, my wife had the mahi mani and good. Maybe a little dry but good flavor. Don't forget the chocolate lava cake. Will go again.

We come to this hotel yearly for xmas and we always eat dinner at Tidepools on xmas eve. Never again. This restaurant is very expensive and usually worth it but it's gone down hill and not worth it anymore. The menu has changed and is so limited. There was nothing but fish, lobster, shrimp and steak. The took off ribs... More

Embrace the tempting combination of contemporary Hawaiian cuisine served in a unique Hawaiian setting. Thatched-roof bungalows float above a koi-filled lagoon at the base of a waterfall to create romantic ambiance. Inspired by local ingredients and the rich culinary traditions of Hawaii
