The Grand Hyatt is so beautiful and the Tidepools is no exception. Tables surround and are surrounded by waterfalls and fish ponds. Service was great - food even better! And the Chocolate Molten Lava cake was to die for!

Have eaten here at least once every year for as long as I can remember. Food has always been great - seafood or beef. A bit spendy, but we consider it worth it for a nice meal out.

The restaurant is in an open air grass hut looking building. The scenery of the Hyatt and the ocean was beautiful. Watched the sunset while eating dinner. The food was very good, but very expensive.

Dinner was excellent we had the filet with a lobster tail, service was really good our waitress was Wilma. We enjoyed a nice bottle of Cabernet from Frank Family Vineyards 2013 ( Wilma recommended it ). The atmosphere was nice. Call Tidepool yourself or use Open Table App, the Concierge at Grand Hyatt claimed it was sold out and there... More

We came here for dinner one night during our stay at the Grand Hyatt. It was such a fun restaurant - we had a table next to the pools (most are) with the koi fish swimming around. I can't remember our server's name but he was amazing - really fun, chatting to us about everything and giving great recommendations. We... More

My husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary with a trip to Kauai, staying at the Grand Hyatt Resort & Spa (LOVED IT!!) We had heard from friends, as well as read reviews on tripadvsior about the outstanding Tidepools restaurant. My husband booked a reservation 3 months prior to our arrival as we know how they are booked up and... More

We went here last evening for my birthday and had the absolutely worst experience! Overpriced ($300 for 2 people). I would not go there on a regular evening much less a special occasion. The food was extremely bland - my main dish was inedible. It was cooked on a metallic tasting grill ( I could taste what I have to... More

It's not as good as the hype. The setting is pretty, but it seems a little touristy. Service was fine, as was the food. Outdoor eating. It is expensive and the wine list is as well. A little on the noisy side as well.

We went to Tidepools after a recommendation from a friend on our trip to Kauai. I had made reservations well ahead on Open Table and mentioned we were celebrating a birthday. When we arrived, my husband, daughter and I were seating a large "island" like table. It had it's own bridge and small island with three sides of pond. My... More
