We stayed at Koa Kea, and ate here the first night. The dinner was a bit pricey for the small portions - I would not go back for dinner. BUT, the following night we had sushi in the lounge area - it was amazing. Definitely recommend for sushi! Just not regular dinner.

Very good restaurant, with fusion cuisine concepts. You pay for you what you get: fantastic service and very good suggestions as well.

We were staying at Koa Kea for our honeymoon. The first full day there we decided to get breakfast. It took probably 20 minutes just to get a cup of coffee. I got the house special the souffle pancakes. Started off with a hair on them. They tasted so bland. I was so disappointed after I had seen so many... More

We went early and beat the the crowd. The waiter was great. The appetite scallops were so good that o would consider having them as s meal. We both had fish and we both said it was the best ever. The seasoning and sauces made the night. We will come where every time we visit Kauai.

This place has a modern, luxury feel to it. Dimmed lights, nice decor, decent service, but a few things came up short. A few things off the top of my head. There is no outdoor seating at all. There were great nights during our stay in Poipu, and not once did they have outdoor seating. Don't know why. We even... More

A co-worker recommended this place to us when they heard we were going to Kauai, and we were very pleased with this choice. We stayed at the nearby Grand Hyatt kauai, and it was a short drive to the restaurant. The restaurant offers complimentary valet parking, and is located a bit off the beaten path, at the end of the... More

We are both foodies and honeymooning at the resort and looked forward to having a nicer meal. but frankly after Red Salt we realized have had better seeking out the markets and eating poke out of a plastic bowl. We had an early reservation and things started out great with our server (he only had 2 tables). They have a... More

Red Salt has beautiful decor and the service was good, but the food was sadly lacking. My entree, the Ono, was very good and well prepared, but my companions were not so lucky. My daughter felt that the filet mignon at Outback was better than at Red Salt, but my son-in-law's $50 burger came out raw instead of medium. After... More

We tried both breakfast and dinner here at red salt. Overall it was satisfying experience. Breakfast: continental buffet had a very small selection but the fruit was fresh and tasty. We tried the lox bagel (with ahi), steak and eggs, and the soufflé. The only miss was the bagel - I prefer the traditional lox much better than this version.... More

After a long day out traveling around the island, we wanted to stay close to 'home'. Red Salt was right next to where we were staying. The food was delicious but what was even better was our waitress Samdi. She was very attentive. When she brought out our meals to us she explained exactly what we received and took the... More
