This restaurant has a great deal to recommend it. The food is not typical fare. The view is not great, but the ambience is fabulous. Realistically, the fussiness of the food is not my taste. But everyone else was blown away by it. My scallops were fine, not exceptional. The burger w foie gras was lovely, but at $50 ...... More

The dinner service was excellent, the ambiance is pleasant. Our salads were tasty. I had seared ahi, four large, thick slices...more than I could eat but perfectly cooked (or should I say barely cooked, as ahi should be). My wife thought her linguine was too salty and her ginger creme brule a little bland. I enjoyed a dark chocolate torte.... More

Truly excellent restaurant in the Koa Kea resort. Worth a visit whether you're staying at the hotel or not. Our favorite place on the South Shore.

There are a lot of choices on the breakfast menu - very well prepared. If you are staying at the Koa Kea hotel it's very convenient to start your day. I have been told by friends the dinners are great.

Mixed results in past years had us on the fence about going back to this expensive hotel dining room. We were glad we went back and had a positive experience. The ambiance of the dining room needs work, the stark interior with uncomfortable contemporary chairs is a little too 60s modern. We got a requested window table so we had... More

This is one of the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure to eat in. Both my husband and I said it was one of the best meals we have ever had! Certainly not to be missed if you are in the Poipu Beach area!

Not quiet and subdued, this restaurant contrasts with the serene atmosphere of Koa Kea with great staff and an energetic vibe. Our dinner selections both offered the "umami" dimensions of flavor we rarely experience. (I told my foodie sister about the meal and she told me it was "umami", so that's how I know!) Delicious, well- presented and great wine... More

I took my wife for our 35 wedding anniversary. It was a little hard to find. And we usually do not eat in hotel restaurants, as a matter of fact we did not know this was. From the greeting to the exit the service was very good. The drinks were different, we were not crazy about them. My wife had... More

We had dinner at Red Salt on Jan. 22, and found it very disappointing. My husband had the filet mignon & pronounced it just ok. However, I had the paella, and I found it less than ok. The shrimp, clams, and fish were top quality, but the rice was more risotto than paella. It was just a gummy mess. The... More
