Ho'okipa Café is located adjacent to Puakea Golf Course. The menu Is what you'd expect in a golf course restaurant -- burgers, sandwiches, HUGE salads and daily specials. It's open for breakfast and lunch. The food is delicious, however the service is rather slow. It's...a good place to refuel after a round of golf.More
My husband and I visited for breakfast. I had the potato burrito and it was delicious and filling!!! My husband had the moko Loko and he enjoyed it! It isn't marked well from the parking lot and very simple but definitely felt we got our...monies worth!More
Others were right about the French toast, one of the best I've had. Should be ordered by 11 am, but they made us an order later. Also split a tasty fish sandwich, fresh and large.
Nothing to look at but great food.
The Teri-cheeseburger with house chips are very flavorful. Fish and chips, another favorite, They have a daily special and a variety of local dishes on the menu. Be forewarned, if busy the service is disappointing. They have cocktails available with appetizers and sports on tv's...to give it a sports club atmosphere.More
Don't follow Google map in trying to locate this place. Simple look for the club house for the golf course, and you're there.
It's not a huge place, probably about 10 tables. My wife ordered the local breakfast, which was simply eggs with a scoop...of rice. Nothing special there. I ordered the french toast, which was very good. If you like thick french toast with soft interior, this is it.More
We typically play at Puakea a couple times when we visit Kauai. When we do, we are sure to eat lunch after our round at Ko'okipa Cafe. The food is excellent, service good, even though it is not much to look at. Yesterday I had...garlic fried rice and a bowl of Portuguese bean soup...both exceptional. My wife and our two friends each had pulled pork sandwiches, which they said were great. Only negative yesterday is they were out is edimame which we always look forward to.More
