This was our first visit to the Kauai Beer Company, which is on Rice St. in Lihue, just 10 minutes from the airport. As you would expect, the beer was excellent and ordering a flight (4 x 4 ounce pours for $8) is a great way to try the different options. The surprise was how good the food was. It was terrific. The fish and chips were excellent with the thinest batter possible, large fresh portions of fish and great fries. My wife had the fish tacos (not the Baja) which were huge and fresh, and she chose the coleslaw which was also very good (I know all this as when my wife orders a meal I get to eat a third of it). My son (kids under 21 are welcome) ordered the bratwurst, which he said was good. All three meals had very large portions. Unless you eat a lot, 2 meals is enough for three people. Service was friendly and efficient. The food took a while to come out (perhaps by design, to encourage beer sales) but not so long as to raise a criticism. There was seating inside and outside, and while parking was a bit tight, we found a spot in a couple of minutes on a nearby side street. Can’t wait to go back.

Four of us were on the way to the airport and stopped here for a great lunch. I had their local IPA and split a fish taco with my husband. It came with fries and there was plenty for two people. Our son enjoyed the ahi taco and they also shared the brussel sprouts which were extraordinary well seasoned and delicious. Fast service made if just perfect.

This is a gem of a restaurant. Not only was our server Nico friendly and knowledgeable but he steered us in the right direction on what to order. The Baja fish tacos were sooo good and the fries that were loaded are so scrumptious. If you like Brussels sprouts get them!! And top of it we all got T-shirt’s. Haha! Very soft!!

The place has taken a turn for the worse. The wait staff and bartenders are as unprofessional and as rude as I ever seen anywhere, which is remarkable, as I have traveled t6he world and have experienced some pretty nasty bars and eating establishments. The waitresses are inattentive and one bartender, in particular was verbally abusive and very aggressive and angry i If you're looking for any kind of aloha spirit, you won't find it at the Kauai Beer Co The food quality had really gone downhill as well. Very sad, as it was, at one time very good. You'd be better off going a block up the street to Rob's and their employees are so much nicer-

Enjoyed ahi sandwich, Ruben sandwich and jalapeño burgers with some great beers, favorites were the IPA, tropical Armadillo and Life gives you Lemongrass. Ordering is contactless via QR and a little painful but service is very good. All COVID protocols in place. Reservations not required. Street parking.

These appear to be bigger sized flights than I've seen before, but I think I just really like the glasses and that there are 6 of them. We came for the beer, which was very good with several choices for those who both love, and those who avoid, that "hoppy" taste. It was the food that was so very great! I had the Kalua Pork Plate which was amazingly good. My husband had the fish and chips and loved it all. It did seem to have groups of travelers come in and hang out late in the afternoon as the airport is nearby and most flights back to the mainland are late at night.

First off I’m not sure how this place is ranked in the top 10 places to eat in Lihue… My wife and I chose to eat at the top 10 places in the area just to try and I don’t get how this one made the list. Ordering food is done completely online, we didn’t even have a waiter to help with food recommendations. There quite literally was no service from any of the waiters or waitresses. We were told to raise a green sign when we had questions, which we did, but after 10-15 minutes of waiting I just walked up and asked. The food was decent I ordered the Philly, my wife ordered the Teriyaki Burger both were good. The Brussels Sprouts were awesome. We also ordered the Mac and cheese to share because people in the reviews recommend it, but they forgot it and after getting up and asking twice we finally got it. Only to be disappointed by it. Not to mention the beer was sub par. Long story short, not great but not terrible.

The KBC is not what it once was. Our family was there in 2018, and we had a good experience then. This trip was a different story. The table ordering system does not give enough details on the "additions" like cheese or salad dressing. When asked if they had coffee or iced tea the answer was "no." The one non-drinker in the party was left with only water as a choice since they had a very limited selection of beverages besides beer. Sure, it's a beer company, but not even coffee? The staff didn't pay attention to the fact that we had finished our meal. We sat there for a good ten minutes without any service despite being ready to leave. On top of that they messed up the bill by including another table's bill onto ours. I'd stay away from the KBC if you want good service, food, and anything other than beer.

We came for dinner while visiting Kauai for beer and burgers. The burgers were cooked to perfection and tasted fantastic. The real surprise was the fries. Amazing. Great crispy exterior with a hot softer inside. Hey the garlic fries. So good we moaned! It was a little strange ordering online while we sat there, but the drinks and then food were delivered very quickly. I liked it so much I had to buy a Tshirt.

Fabulous food and beer We found Kauai Beer on our last visit to the island (2017?) and we’ve looked forward to going back ever since. They now have some outdoor seating, maybe because of the pandemic or maybe because of popularity, and touchless ordering. If you have questions about the menu or beer, you put up a flag and someone comes over to answer or to take your order in person. Our server, Jesse, was very prompt and personable. We had the “world’s best Reuben”, “signature burger”, and Japanese fries. All were fabulous and lived up to their billing. Beer choices are great and well-described. Make your way into Kauai Beer in Lihue and you won’t be disappointed!

We stopped in for dinner before catching a flight back home. It was busy and we waited about 15 minutes for a table. They have a very small bar, about seven seats, and one TV. It's not the kind of bar you'd think a brewery would have. The feel is more a family restaurant than a brew pub. The ceilings are very low and it's loud. The food was very good. Relatively small portions. We got the lamb gyro and a burger. The thing that stands out is it was VERY impersonal. You sit down and scan a QR code which takes you to a menu. You do everything on your phone and random people deliver it to your table. There is very little human interaction and therefore you don't feel a connection to the place. After all that, the minimum tip amount is 18%. For what? With a few updates the place could be very good.

Beer was great especially Lihue lager. But Kung Pao Brussels sprouts and jerk chicken skewers were disappointing. No jerk seasoning at all and chicken was fatty. Brussels sprouts needed stems chopped off and Kung pao was so mild that you could give it to a 3 yr old! Coleslaw needed seasoning too. Stick with the beer!

We decided to do outdoor dining here one night for our dinner. My spouse tried samples of two of their beers- Lihue Lager & Pale Pines. He enjoyed both and I was happy with my glass of wine. I ordered their Signature KBC Burger w/Battered Fries and my spouse tried their Not in Philly Cheesesteak w/Cole Slaw. Both were good. This brewing company is located on the main street in Lihue..a bit of traffic for outdoor dining, but overall, a good stop!

We enjoyed our dinner at this brewpub with a casual and welcoming vibe. The wait staff were friendly and provided fantastic service. The spacious interior easily accommodated our party of eight. Loved the long blond wood table top! The ordering system allowed our large party to order/pay separately at table via phones. And raising a green card to flag help worked well. Small samples allowed us to check out the beer offerings on tap. Loved the Munich style lager. For food, the Signature KBC were well-made. The Brussels Sprouts just so so. The Philly Cheese Steak with generous portion of moist tasty ribeye was the standout. The Above & Beyond vegetarian burger and the chicken tenders were lovely. The beer fries were so crunchily yummy that I couldn’t stop eating them.

Really good beer and an excellent, truly exceptional burger. I liked the Lihue lager best; it was a unique and fruity lager. I also tried their pale ale which was pretty indistinguishable from other small breweries. The burger was on an excellent fresh bun and unpretentious, letting the high quality meat speak for itself.
